Malaysia Airlines (MAS) peanuts have proven to be among the things that consumers missed. The national carrier announced that its Signature Salted Peanuts Gift Box, launched on 4 December 2020, was sold out within two hours!
The peanuts were sold in a specially designed gift box with the airline’s heritage batik design. Priced at RM 15, each box contains 10 packs of peanuts.
Now, consumers are calling MAS to restock their favourite peanuts.
Well, we now know for sure that MAS peanuts do have a big market out there. Will peanuts save MAS and its financial woes? Here, we would like to take the opportunity to suggest MAS to come up with its own branded peanuts for the retail market or collaborate with private label brands or branded nut makers to earn much needed money to keep the airline afloat during this difficult time.
