MAMEE-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd has recently introduced a new range of instant noodle featuring ‘xxxtra spicy ghost pepper oil’. Known as Mamee x Daebak Ghost Pepper, the range consists of the following products:
- Spicy Beef Mushroom soup instant noodle (103g)
- Creamy Curry Lontong soup instant noodle (119g)
- Mie Goreng Indonesia dry instant noodle (121g)
To spice up the noodle, consumers can customise the level of spiciness by choosing to pour the entire content from the sachet to deliver the “mentally spicy” taste or just some of the content for a “spicy” taste or half for a “super spicy” experience.
At Aeon Big Supermarket, the price for a pack of 4 x 103g to 121g is RM 10.90, making it more premium than Mamee Mi Tarik Chicken (5x75g) at RM 3.70 and Mamee Chef Curry Laksa (4x80g) at RM 5.65.
At the moment, consumers would usually purchase the iconic Mamee Daebak ghost pepper instant noodle once for the experience but not on a regular basis. Mamee is now using the ‘xxxtra spicy ghost pepper oil’ with customisable spiciness to ensure consumers can consume the new instant noodles more frequently.
Malaysian singer, Altimet, has collaborated together with Mamee Monster to come up with a new music video.
