Kopi Soe launches drinks inspired by street foods

Kopi Soe in Indonesia is offering the taste of Nusantara with Es Nagasari, Es Pisang Ijo & Es Klepon Kopi/Es Klepon. All these chilled drinks are inspired by popular Indonesian street foods. They are priced between IDR 27,000 and IDR 28,000.

Es Pisang Ijo is popular in Makassar. Es Pisang Ijo or Green Banana Ice is a food comprising bananas wrapped in green flour dough that is then steamed and served on a plate with ice. The content is then poured with coconut milk sauce and DHT syrup, which is popular in Makassar.

“Klepon is a traditional Southeast Asian green-coloured balls of rice cake filled with liquid palm sugar and coated in grated coconut”, according to Wikipedia.

“Nagasari is a traditional Southeast Asian steamed cake, originating from Indonesia, made from rice flour, coconut milk and sugar, filled with slices of banana”, according to Wikipedia.

Normally we see brands tapping into Nusantara flavour during Indonesia’s National Day or during festive seasons. The timing of Kopi Soe’s new series during year-end ensures it stands out as there are less similar offerings by competitors.
