Wonderbrew Kombucha has become the first kombucha player to enter 7-Eleven, which is the largest convenience store in Malaysia. Having the fermented drink in a convenience store will help to improve accessibility.
Wonderbrew has priced its kombucha (230ml) at RM 9.90, which makes the price more affordable to encourage trial. Despite being in the market for quite sometime, kombucha is still not widely known among local consumers. The company sells a larger bottle 300ml at a much higher price at RM 12.90 in high-end grocers and in other foodservice outlets as well as online.
Wonderbrew Kombucha is available at the chilled section of 7-Eleven as the fermented drink has to be kept refrigerated.
For the Chinese New Year, the company has unveiled a new seasonal flavour Billion Dollar Booch featuring the use of “kam” and osmanthus to inspire better gut health, wealth and to make you wiser than a sage.
The main ingredients are filtered water, organic cane sugar, organic oolong tea, osmanthus flower, mandarin peel, organic kombucha culture.
