To set it straight, the new KFC Zero Chicken Burger in Malaysia is for flexitarians, a person on a semi-vegetarian diet who occasionally eats meat or fish. The burger made from plant-based meat is also ideally suited for those who are meat eaters but want to eat more plant-based foods or for those concerned about sustainability. KFC Zero Chicken Burger is neither for vegetarians or vegans.

KFC has collaborated with Quorn to feature their sustainably sourced, meat-free super protein that is naturally high in protein and fiber.

KFC Zero Chicken Burger has created a storm judging by the comments on the KFC Facebook page. The launch, however, did generate conversation about plant-based and product trial, which is a small step towards mass acceptance.
