Kantar has revealed Vitaday as the most popular vitamin water in Thailand, followed by Yanhee Vitamin Water and B’lue. Ichitan’s PH Plus is ranked 4th and Goodmood is 5th. The survey found 1 in 7 urban Thai consumers aged 15-49 have consumed vitamin water.
Looking at actual company results, Sappe PCL said sales of its functional drink and vitamin water for the first nine months of 2020 grew 20% year-on-year with Q3 2020 performance alone surging 73% year-on-year.
The vitamin water segment in Thailand has attracted more players in recent months. Companies have innovated with different combination of flavours, vitamins, functional benefits and packaging formats. Despite the popularity of such drinks in Thailand, we have yet to see vitamin water as a category taking off in a big way in other markets in Southeast Asia.
