Simple Foods upsizes 137 Degrees High Protein Almond Milk: 61g protein highlighted, balance still key

Simple Foods, the company behind 137 Degrees plant‑based milk, has introduced a larger 1‑liter version of its high‑protein almond milk in Thailand. The new pack prominently highlights 61 grams of protein per carton, equivalent to 6.1 grams per 100 ml. This upsized format complements the existing high‑protein almond milk variant, which delivers 11 grams of protein in a 180 ml serving

Emphasizing 61g protein on the packaging is a deliberate tactic aimed at appealing to consumers seeking ever‑greater protein intake.

Simple Foods also acknowledges the importance of balance in protein intake, as reflected in how it communicates its existing High Protein Almond Milk. With 11g of protein per 180ml serving, the brand emphasises that moderation matters—too much can be excessive, while 11g is positioned as the right amount.

Moving beyond the fixation on grams, we are seeing regional players shift focus toward protein absorbability—such as Oikos in Japan—and the specific functional roles each protein contributes, as highlighted by Proten’s Duo Protein formula in Thailand.
