Commemorating Bryant’s enduring legacy through sculpture, sport and spirit

Project 95 (P95) Basketball Academy and Limited Edt today presented Mamba
Day, a heartfelt tribute to the late Kobe Bryant at P95, Singapore’s first tech-powered
basketball academy.

Commemorative Card

This art-led tribute is a powerful fusion of performance, purpose and pop culture celebrating not just Kobe the athlete, but Kobe the father, mentor and relentless competitor who continues to inspire generations. Cast in aluminium, the sculpture immortalises the essence of the Mamba Mentality – a philosophy that champions resilience, discipline and the pursuit of excellence.

Operating from AiRENA, Singapore’s first AI-enabled sports enterprise, P95 has always sought to go beyond conventional training, championing youth development through performance and purpose. Mamba Day embodies this commitment by merging competitive spirit with creative expression.

“At P95, we place as much emphasis on character as we do on skill. The Mamba Mentality is about pushing past your limits with heart and purpose — values we instil in every player. This tribute is a daily reminder of that spirit and what sets P95 apart. Our athletes train with intention, grounded in our three pillars: Family, Discipline and Humility,” said Alan Lim, Director of P95.

The initiative is made possible through a meaningful partnership with Limited Edt, Singapore’s premier sneaker and streetwear institution deeply rooted in basketball culture.

“Kobe Bryant was more than a player. He was a symbol of drive and integrity. Limited Edt is honoured to co-create this tribute, continuing our mission to grow the game and inspire the next generation,” said Mandeep Chopra, Founder and Managing Director of Limited Edt.

Kobe Memorabilia

The day-long event included a curated showcase of Kobe memorabilia from the Limited Edt and Kaiser Ng’s private collections, offering fans a rare glimpse into his enduring legacy. Highlights included a parent-child basketball game honouring Kobe and Gianna Bryant, with Limited Edt’s specially curated sneaker sale spotlighting iconic Kobe silhouettes alongside newer releases. Guests also received exclusive “Black Mamba Day 2025” cards commemorating the occasion.

“Kobe stood at the intersection of sport, style and spirit. This was exactly what I wanted to encapsulate through this piece. It is not just a statue; it is a story. Every line, texture and form speaks to a different facet of his legacy as an athlete, a father and an icon who transcended the game,” said Jahan Loh, whose work blends urban aesthetics with poignant cultural narratives.

Through this collaboration, P95 and Limited Edt aim to spark a deeper appreciation for Kobe’s legacy while creating a space where sports, art and values converge, thereby achieving P95’s vision.
