Bel Group has announced a USD 19.7 million expansion of its Vietnam production site, doubling annual capacity to 20,000 tonnes. The investment strengthens Bel’s industrial capabilities and supports its dominant 70% market share in the cheese segment, driven by local brands such as The Laughing Cow, Belcube and Kiri.
Construction begins in January 2026, with completion expected in early 2027. The site will serve both domestic demand and key export markets across Southeast Asia, China, Japan and Saudi Arabia.
The expansion includes a pilot R&D line to accelerate innovation, optimise recipes and test new formats tailored to regional tastes and nutritional needs. Employment is projected to rise from 188 to around 400 staff, reinforcing Bel’s long-term commitment to Vietnam.
Since entering Vietnam in 2011, Bel has steadily grown capacity from 4,000 tonnes to 10,000 tonnes in 2015, and now to 20,000 tonnes. Asia remains central to Bel’s global growth strategy, with recent investments in China, India, and Indonesia further strengthening its regional footprint.
