From the founders of Center of the Universe (C.O.T.U), a 7,000 sqft premium skybar and dining destination elevates Singapore’s tourism stage with an internationally rooted beverage and culinary programme.
SINGAPORE, 16 July 2026 – Upcoming 1 August 2026, Xava Skybar opens atop National Gallery Singapore, introducing a new rooftop destination that pairs panoramic city views with an internationally inspired dining and cocktail programme. Spanning 7,000 square feet, the venue occupies one of Singapore’s most iconic destinations, overlooking the city’s historic Civic District from the heart of its cultural precinct.
Created by the people behind Center of the Universe (C.O.T.U), Xava Skybar is the latest addition to a hospitality portfolio that has helped shape Southeast Asia’s nightlife and dining landscape for more than two decades. Their portfolio includes pioneering venues such as Filter, Bang Bang, Zouk Kuala Lumpur, Attica, Le Noir, Barouv, Abriza and, most recently, C.O.T.U.

Prior to opening Xava Skybar, the team launched C.O.T.U, an 18,000-square-foot multi-concept destination spanning Levels 38 and 39 of CapitaGreen. Bringing together Enso Steakhouse, Dashi Go-Go, Dashi Sky Pool, Whisper Room and Little Birdie under one roof, C.O.T.U introduced one of Southeast Asia’s first integrated hospitality concepts that seamlessly combines dining, nightlife and entertainment within a single destination.
Xava Skybar reflects the group’s ambition to create venues that resonate with both local audiences and international travellers. Designed to transition effortlessly from an elegant daytime lounge to a lively evening destination, the venue is backed by an elite team comprising M Sanjivan, Phillip Poon, Cher Ng, “Mikey” Manjit Singh, and Cedric Chong – industry veterans who have launched some of the region’s most iconic nightlife concepts, such as Zouk Kuala Lumpur, Massive Collective, and Attica.
“Singapore has become one of the world’s great lifestyle destinations. With Xava Skybar, we’ve created a venue that feels distinctly international while remaining rooted in one of Singapore’s most iconic cultural landmarks. Whether you’re visiting from overseas, entertaining clients or rediscovering the city as a local, we wanted to create a place that feels timeless, welcoming and uniquely Singapore”, shared M Sanjivan, CEO of C.O.T.U.
A Rooftop Experience Designed Around the City
Set against the architectural grandeur of National Gallery Singapore, Xava Skybar has been conceived as a destination that evolves throughout the day. Afternoons invite relaxed drinks and conversation, evenings centre around shared dining experiences, while after dark the space transforms into a vibrant Skybar overlooking Singapore’s illuminated skyline.
A defining feature of the venue is its bespoke LED ceiling installation, transforming the space into a living digital canvas. Inspired by its location within National Gallery Singapore, the immersive display showcases a curated rotation of digital artworks, atmospheric visuals and lighting compositions that shift throughout the day, from serene cloudscapes and golden sunset hues to dynamic evening displays. Designed as an integral architectural element rather than a traditional screen, the installation will continue to evolve through seasonal commissions and artist collaborations, ensuring each visit offers a unique visual experience.
At Xava Skybar, globally inspired cuisine takes centre stage, showcasing premium ingredients, refined techniques and contemporary interpretations of familiar flavours. Standout creations include the:
- Obsiblue King Prawn Mosaic ($26), featuring king prawns paired with vibrant tomato gelée and a luxurious lobster cream
- Bourbon Glazed Beef Short Ribs ($29), a hearty dish of tender slow-braised beef coated in a rich bourbon glaze, served alongside silky corn purée and potato cream
- Other must-tries include Duck Lasagne ($12), Petite Lobster Rolls ($30) and Mini Cheeseburger Skewers ($14)
Thoughtfully curated for discerning local and international diners, the menu is designed to complement every moment effortlessly from casual afternoons to lively evenings.
Complementing the food offering is a cocktail programme rooted in timeless classics. Led by Group Head mixologist Yazid, whose eight-year career spans luxury hotels, Michelin-recognised restaurants and award-winning cocktail bars, the menu showcases elevated interpretations of familiar favourites using premium spirits and vibrant regional flavours. Signature creations include the:

- Mango Hour ($24), featuring Ketel One Vodka, glutinous rice, mango, coconut, Sapporo Lager and mango caviar;
- the refreshing Purple Tide ($24), crafted with Don Julio Blanco, Midori Melon, watermelon, coconut, Greek yogurt and lemon;
- XAVA Sling ($24), a tropical take on the Singapore classic with Another Hendrick’s Gin, guava, pineapple, longan honey and lemon

Having worked with respected hospitality groups including COMO Group and Lo & Behold Group, Yazid brings a refined approach to hospitality, combining technical expertise with warm, intuitive service.

Designed for both business lunches and leisurely daytime dining, Xava Skybar also introduces a lunch set menu that offers a refined rooftop dining experience in the heart of the Civic District. Guests can choose from a two-course menu at S$38++ or a three-course menu at S$48++, featuring a curated selection of signature dishes that showcase the restaurant’s contemporary approach to globally inspired cuisine.
Xava Skybar officially opens on 1 August 2026, welcoming guests to experience one of Singapore’s newest rooftop destinations where exceptional views, elevated hospitality and internationally inspired food and cocktails come together above the city.
