‘A Social Reset’ Marks Penang’s First Guided Ice Plunge Experience
Penang, 30 July 2025 – M Social Resort Penang and WO Studios successfully concluded their one-day wellness retreat, A Social Reset, on Saturday, 26 July 2025, with a full day of invigorating, sold-out programming that brought together wellness enthusiasts from across the country. Held from 6.00am to 8.30pm at the design-led beachfront hotel, the event saw over 100 participants disconnect from their digital devices and immerse themselves in a thoughtfully curated line-up of wellness activations — all designed to restore mind, body, and spirit in a vibrant, Y2K-inspired setting.

A Full Day of Movement, Healing & Reconnection
Organised by Penang’s pioneering Pilates studio WO Studios, the retreat featured a diverse range of immersive experiences designed to spark joy, build resilience, and deepen the mind-body connection. Highlights included:
- Mat and Reformer Pilates Sessions – Throughout the day, participants engaged in core-strengthening mat Pilates, while also trying their hand at reformer Pilates. As a fun surprise, those who completed their sessions received wellness-themed treats via a custom gashapon machine.
- Sound Bath by Heal and Find Yourself Academy – The sound bath sessions offered a calming, restorative escape through sound frequencies and meditative vibrations, helping guests release tension and tap into inner stillness.
- Penang’s First Guided Ice Plunge – One of the most anticipated highlights was the guided ice plunge led by certified breathwork coach Piyachai Teo, providing a powerful reset for the nervous system while challenging participants to step outside their comfort zones.
