Beautea extends foodservice heritage into packaged retail through premium whole tea leaves and Grab Signatures collaboration

Beutea, a modern tea beverage brand built around freshly brewed Chinese tea, has introduced a new line of premium whole tea leaves. The move reflects a broader industry trend in which foodservice brands are extending into packaged formats to participate in a wider range of consumption occasions. Rather than limiting engagement to in-store visits, brands can become part of consumers’ daily routines at home, capturing occasions that would otherwise be missed.

The premium whole tea leaves include five signature flavours:

  • Jasmine Green Tea
  • Lan Hua Green Tea
  • Longjing Green Tea
  • Osmanthus Green Tea
  • Highland Oolong Tea

The launch is supported by the Cold Brew Glass Cup (RM29.90 each), a functional accessory that enables consumers to replicate café‑style cold brewing at home. Beautea offers a promotion: purchase any 4 tea boxes and receive a free Cold Brew Glass Cup and Gift Bag (random colour, while stocks last).

Beautea has also partnered with Grab Signatures, extending its reach into both Jaya Grocer physical stores and online channels. This collaboration introduces a curated range of teas priced at RM20.90 each:

  • Grab Signatures x Beautea Jasmine & Rose Scented Green Tea
  • Grab Signatures x Beautea Yunnan Oolong Tea
  • Grab Signatures x Beautea White Peach Oolong Tea
  • Grab Signatures x Beautea Green Tea
  • Grab Signatures x Beautea Qinnuo Oolong Tea
  • Grab Signatures x Beautea Dahongpao Oolong Tea

Grab Signatures x Jaya Grocer is a private‑label collaboration where Grab partners with Jaya Grocer to turn popular foodservice brands into packaged retail products, sold both in Jaya Grocer’s physical stores and online via GrabMart. It allows consumers to enjoy restaurant‑style flavours at home while giving F&B merchants a structured path into retail.

Beautea’s partnership with Grab Signatures demonstrates how foodservice brands are extending into retail to become part of consumers’ everyday routines. By offering premium tea leaves through supermarkets and quick-commerce channels, the brand can participate in at-home consumption occasions while maintaining a presence across multiple touchpoints. The move reflects the growing blurring of foodservice and retail, as brands seek to build ongoing consumer relationships beyond the store.
