Colony, Aerodyne and Santan leaders take on this year’s theme, ‘The Next Leap’

SUBANG JAYA: Eco Business Park VII (EBP VII), EcoWorld’s next-generation integrated industrial hub in Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0), today hosted the second edition of EcoWorld Connects: Business Ascend Forum at EX8, a morning of candid sharing on how businesses can ready themselves for their next phase of growth.

Themed “The Next Leap”, the forum put a direct question to business owners: is your business truly ready for its next big opportunity? It brought together the entrepreneurs behind three well-known Malaysian ventures, Colony, Aerodyne and Santan, for back-to-back sharing sessions and a moderated panel discussion.

The forum builds on the inaugural edition held in December 2025, part of EBP VII’s effort to grow a business community around the development in MVV 2.0. It also marked the opening of registration for the SME Core’s second phase, following the full take-up of the first.

“EcoWorld Connects was built on a simple idea, that businesses grow faster when they grow together. The response to our first forum told us the community wanted more, so this time we brought in leaders who have taken that next leap themselves. EBP VII is designed as a business ecosystem, where space, community and connections come together to help companies take their next step with confidence,” said Liew Tian Xiong, Deputy CEO of EcoWorld.

The morning opened with a project briefing on EBP VII and an insights-sharing session by One Credit, a partner of the forum. The three speakers then took the stage in turn. Timothy Tiah, CEO of Colony Coworking & Event Spaces; Dato’ Dr Kamarul A Muhamed, Founder & Group CEO of Aerodyne Group; and Catherine Goh, CEO of Santan, shared how they recognised and acted on the opportunities that grew their businesses, before returning together for a panel discussion moderated by Clement Liaw, EcoWorld’s Head of Operations for Eco Business Park V and VII, on preparing for the next phase of growth.

One Credit was also among the partners hosting exhibition booths at the venue, where attendees met the teams and continued the morning’s conversations. The morning closed with a by-invitation networking luncheon. The speakers were joined by invited business leaders including Datin Yap Shin Siang, CEO of YYC Group, and Dato’ Liew Bin, President of the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA). Dato’ Ho Kwee Hong, EcoWorld’s Chief Development Officer (Eco Central-North & Eco Business Park), was among those present.

EBP VII is positioning itself as the address where businesses in MVV 2.0 take their next leap, with its sales gallery open to enquiries from companies looking to grow in the region.

About EBP VII

EBP VII is developed through a public-private partnership between EcoWorld, SD Guthrie via its wholly-owned subsidiary SD Guthrie Land Ventures Sdn Bhd (SDGLV), and NS Corp, the state agency responsible for coordinating and driving the MVV 2.0 masterplan. This collaboration brings together EcoWorld’s expertise in industrial park development, SD Guthrie’s extensive land resources, and NS Corp’s strategic planning vision for Negeri Sembilan. Together, the partners aim to create a high-value, future-ready industrial ecosystem that attracts quality investments, promotes sustainable growth and generates skilled employment for the state.

Located on approximately 1,195 acres of freehold land in Bukit Pelandok, Mukim Jimah, Port Dickson, the development carries an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of approximately RM3 billion. It forms a major component of Parcel C within the MVV 2.0 blueprint, an area earmarked for industrial, logistics and economic clusters that will strengthen Negeri Sembilan’s position as a competitive manufacturing and investment hub in Malaysia’s southern corridor.

EBP VII is conceived as an integrated industrial development complemented by commercial hubs that create a self-sustaining business environment. It will offer a mix of medium-sized prime industrial lots and ready-built factories, alongside retail and service facilities designed to support the needs of businesses, entrepreneurs and workers. Strategically located near the proposed Nilai-Labu-Enstek Expressway (NLE), the park enjoys convenient access to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Port Klang and the PLUS Highway, ensuring efficient connectivity to major logistics routes across the country and beyond.

Catering to high-growth sectors such as aerospace, electrical and electronics, logistics and e-commerce, halal industries, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing, EBP VII is expected to drive strong inflows of domestic and foreign direct investment (FDI) while contributing to MVV 2.0’s goal of fostering sustainable, high-value industrialisation that benefits both businesses and communities.

The SME Core’s first phase, which offered a mix of Cluster Factories (60’ × 100’, 60’ × 120’), Semi-Detached Factories (75’ × 130’, 75’ × 140’), Industrial Land parcels of 1 to 5 acres and larger parcels above 5 acres, has been fully taken up. At the forum, EBP VII opened registration for the second phase, which offers 136 units of the same Cluster and Semi-Detached factory sizes and specifications as the first and sits directly across from it, with all units gated and guarded.
