MK Restaurant to expand network by 15 new outlets in Thailand in 2025

MK Restaurant Group Public Company Limited announced that alongside its product development initiatives, the company plans to expand its restaurant network by 15 new branches across Thailand in 2025, according to prachachat.net. The expansion includes 5 MK Restaurants, 3 Yayoi outlets, 5 Laem Charoen Seafood locations and 2 HIKINIKU TO COME branches.

Additionally, the company aims to grow its international presence by opening 2 new Laem Charoen Seafood franchise branches in Malaysia.

MK Group currently manages 13 restaurant brands, with a total of 723 branches across Thailand, along with international franchise operations.

The company is actively looking for Master Franchise partners to accelerate its restaurant expansion, with a strong focus on the Southeast Asian market. At the same time, MK Group is gearing up to introduce new business models, including transitioning existing MK Restaurants to a buffet-style format (MK Buffet) and revamping the Laem Charoen Seafood concept to make seafood dining more accessible.

To improve efficiency and control costs, the company is prioritizing an upgrade of its backend systems, including the implementation of AI in logistics management to reduce food waste. As a first step, they plan to add distribution centers in major cities to shorten delivery times and boost cost competitiveness
