Cha Jing, a newly reimagined Pu’er tea from Thailand’s General Beverage, has recently launched in Thailand. The brand presents itself as “an invitation to discover Chinese tea in a Modern Chinese Tea style, crafted blends that bring the ancient art of Chinese tea into refreshing contemporary flavours.”
Cha Jing emerges as the ready-to-drink tea counterpart to the booming wave of modern Chinese-inspired tea shops that have proliferated across Southeast Asia.
The Cha Jing series, priced at THB 30 per bottle, comprises the following variants:
- Chajing Osmanthus Blossom: Experience the delicate fragrance of osmanthus flowers, with zero sugar.
- Chajing Lemon & Kumquat: Feel the refreshing balance of tangy lemon and sweet-sour kumquat.
The brand highlights the weight management benefits of drinking Pu’er tea. Through its unique fermentation process, Pu’er tea develops key compounds:
- Theabrownin – supports reduced fat absorption in the small intestine and promotes fat breakdown.
- Gallic acid – assists in eliminating fat and cholesterol while aiding digestion in both the stomach and intestines.
