Paramount Cup Returns Bigger, Bolder and Built for Community

Partners and organisers celebrate the official launch of Paramount Cup 2026 with a lively balloon pop ceremony, marking the return of one of Malaysia's premier pickleball tournaments featuring over RM110,000 in prize money.

More than 900 participants, eight new youth categories and one of Malaysia’s largest pickleball prize pools mark an exciting second edition.

Kuala Lumpur, 18 August 2026 – Building on the success of its inaugural edition, Paramount Property today launched Paramount Cup 2026, returning with more players, expanded youth categories, a stronger community purpose and one of Malaysia’s largest pickleball prize pool. Set to take place from 22 – 25 October 2026 at PLAYA Racquet Club @ PARC Subang, the tournament is set to welcome more than 900 participants while offering one of Malaysia’s largest pickleball prize pools of over RM110,000, reinforcing its position as one of the country’s premier pickleball tournaments.

The second edition introduces eight new junior competition categories — U10 Co-ed Singles & Doubles, U12 Co-ed Singles & Doubles, U14 Co-ed Singles & Doubles, and U16 Boys Singles & Boys Doubles, reflecting Paramount Property’s commitment to nurturing young talent and making the sport more accessible to the next generation.

A fast-paced doubles rally unfolds during the showcase match at the Paramount Cup 2026 launch, with representatives from Paramount Property and PLAYA Racquet Club battling it out on court at PARC Subang.

Extending its impact beyond the courts, Paramount Cup 2026 will also turn every registration into an opportunity to give back. For every participant that registers, PLAYA will donate RM5 from each registration fee to the Shelter Home for Children, matched ringgit for ringgit by Paramount Property. This initiative brings players, PLAYA and Paramount Property together in a shared effort to create positive social impact through sport. Adding to the tournament-weekend experience, a three-day bazaar will offer families, players and visitors a lively space to enjoy food, activities and family-friendly fun.

“At Paramount Property, our promise of being The People’s Developer shapes everything we do. It inspires us to create places where people can live well, stay active and build meaningful connections. The Paramount Cup is a natural extension of this commitment, bringing people of all ages together through sport, wellness and shared experiences,” said Beh Chun Chong, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Corporation Berhad.

“This year, we are taking the tournament even further with a charitable initiative. It reflects our sustainability commitment to Enriching People and Communities by creating opportunities for every participant to contribute towards a meaningful cause, demonstrating how small actions, when multiplied across a community, can create lasting social impact,” Beh added.

PLAYA Racquet Club returns as the tournament’s Venue Partner after successful hosting the inaugural edition in 2025. Malaysia’s first lifestyle-focused racquet destination features nine indoor courts, 14 outdoor and covered courts, together with dining, retail and family-friendly amenities, making it an ideal venue for players and spectators.

The Paramount Cup 2026 marks a significant milestone for Malaysian pickleball, becoming an official APP Asia Kuala Lumpur Qualifier Series stop and giving local players a pathway to compete on the international stage.

“We designed PLAYA Racquet Club to be more than a place to play – it’s a place where people come together through a shared passion for sport,” said Brian Choo, Director of PLAYA Racquet Club. “Hosting the Paramount Cup once again is a reflection of how far we’ve come — and how much further we intend to go.”

Adding to this year’s milestones, Paramount Cup 2026 will officially be recognised as an APP Asia qualifying stop, following PLAYA Racquet Club’s close collaboration with the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP), one of the world’s leading professional pickleball organisations. The designation gives local players a genuine pathway to the international stage — players who perform well at Paramount Cup will not only compete for medals and prize money, but also earn a shot at qualifying for APP’s wider tour.

“This is a huge moment for Malaysian pickleball,” said Brian Choo, Director of PLAYA Racquet Club. “Through PLAYA’s collaboration with APP, our local players now have a real pathway to compete on the international stage. We hope it inspires even more players, from first-timers to seasoned competitors, to sign up and be part of it.”

The launch kicked off with a lively balloon pop, releasing a shower of mini balloons to commemorate the occasion. The energy carried straight onto the court with a high-octane showcase match marking the tournament’s first serve, featuring representatives from Paramount Property and PLAYA, teaming up in a fast-paced rally that had the crowd cheering from the first point — setting an electric tone for the weeks of competition to come.

The tournament will once again be overseen by a PPA-certified Tournament Director, ensuring international standards in officiating, competition management and player experience. Competition categories will span singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team formats across different age groups and skill levels, welcoming everyone from first-time players to seasoned competitors.

Returning and new partners supporting the Paramount Cup 2026 include Auto Bavaria BMW as Automotive Partner, Mercure Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie as Hotel Partner, Sports Sync and iMedia, with additional partnership announcements to be made in the coming weeks.
