A Space for the New Generation to Unleash their Energy Through an Active Lifestyle
TCP Group and Red Bull, an energy drink for the new generation, recently launched Red Bull Skate Park, Thailand’s largest public indoor street skate park. Located in the heart of Bangkok, it’s a new landmark for exercise designed for the new generation who love an active lifestyle, with safety standards ensuring everyone can fully unleash their energy. The opening event was presided over by Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok; Mr. Saravoot Yoovidhya, Chief Executive Officer of TCP Group; and other executives. Skateboarders who joined included ST-Vareeraya, the youngest skateboarder in the history of Thailand’s national team for the Paris Olympics, along with actors Junji-Janjera and Ta-Nannakun. All brought their energy and showcased their skateboarding skills at the Benchakitti Sports Center.
Mrs. Mallika Lungnimitmas, Marketing Department Director, Thailand Country Department at TCP Group, said, “TCP Group reaffirms our commitment to ‘Energizing a Better World for All’ and promoting well-being across society. Red Bull energy drink is energizing the new generation to pursue their lifestyle activities without limits. As skateboarding remains one of the most popular sports for an active lifestyle, we created Red Bull Skate Park as a dedicated space where the new generation can unleash their full potential. The park is designed to international standards to ensure safety for skateboarders of all skill levels and features a unique street-style layout inspired by Thailand’s iconic streets, beloved by skateboarders worldwide. In addition to providing a new venue for exercise, the park reflects Red Bull’s identity of empowering energy, sharing excitement, and supporting the next generation of skateboarders as they rise to the global stage.”
Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, said, “Exercise is essential for good health. Bangkok aims to expand exercise venues in the city center to better serve the public. The Benchakitti Sports Center offers a range of sports to meet the needs of all ages. Until now, a standard facility for skateboarding, which has become an internationally recognized sport, has been missing. This collaboration with TCP Group resulted in the successful development of the Red Bull Skate Park â a public space where skateboarding is free for all. Designed for skaters of all skill levels, the park meets safety standards and is suited to the new generation. We hope it becomes a new landmark in Thailand, promoting health and enhancing the overall quality of life.”
Red Bull Skate Park is Thailand’s largest public concrete indoor street skate park. It was created by TCP Group in collaboration with Preduce, a leader in the Thai skateboarding industry. Inspired by the origins of Kratingdaeng (Red Bull) in Thailand, the park recreates iconic “spots” from Thai streets, with various challenging obstacles spread across over 1,400 square meters. It also reflects the identity of Red Bull, a global brand beloved by skateboarders and athletes worldwide. The park is designed for all levels of skateboarders. It offers a Beginner Zone, an Intermediate Zone for those advancing to competitive levels, and an Advanced Zone to test the skills of expert skaters. Built to international standards, it is an inclusive spot suitable for all genders, ages, and skill levels. Inside, the park is decorated with 3D art patterns and geometric designs that reflect the modern world. The vibrant colors echo the energy of Red Bull. Designed by renowned graffiti artist Pasha Wais from Russia, the artwork creates an energetic, inviting atmosphere where everyone can enjoy the thrill of skateboarding.
In addition to its diverse zones and comprehensive facilities, Red Bull Skate Park features a range of activities and workshops, giving everyone the opportunity to learn how to skateboard and build up their skills.
The opening event featured thrilling skateboarding performances inspiring the new generation by Thailand’s top skaters. They were led by 12-year-old “ST” Vareeraya Sukasem, the youngest skateboarder in the history of Thailand’s national team for the Paris Olympics. She demonstrated her exceptional skills across all zones of the park. Actors who share a passion for skateboarding also joined and displayed their energetic moves.
ST-Vareeraya Sukasem said, “I’m thrilled to be showcasing skateboarding today. I want to invite everyone who loves skateboarding or is eager to try it out to come and unleash your energy here. This park is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to pros, and being indoors means you can practice all day. The spacious layout, with progressively challenging equipment in each zone, really helps you enhance your skills. And beyond the fun, it’s also a great way to exercise and take care of your health at the same time.”
Junji-Janjera Junpitakchai shared her excitement about trying out the Red Bull Skate Park. “It was so much fun and very exciting. I love skateboarding and there are so many spots to try here. Even as a casual skater, this park is perfect. Being indoors, there’s no need to worry about the sun or rain. Its handy location in the city makes it convenient to meet up with friends to skate then hang out afterwards.”
Ta-Nannakun Pakapatpornpob added, “The skateboarding today was a blast. I’ve missed this feeling and have wanted a park like this for a long time. It’s like skating on the street, but safer. Everyone can enjoy themselves and exercise here with confidence. It’s the ideal place for friends to meet and have fun together.”
The event featured a “Trust Your Energy” fashion show presenting the stylish Red Bull Capsule Collection. These modern designs are from three collections created by three Raffles International College students who won the Red Bull Fashion Competition 2024, a project supporting Thai youth in the international fashion industry. The winning designs will be produced and available for purchase on shop.tcp.com.
