Dutch Mill Group has expanded its wellness beverage portfolio in Thailand with the launch of Bioocha, a beverage featuring fermented kombucha tea made from SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast).

Bioocha uses Oolong tea fermented for seven days with SCOBY, bringing kombucha into a convenient ready-to-drink format. The launch extends Dutch Mill’s presence beyond its established cultured milk and yoghurt portfolio into the growing fermented beverage space.

Packaged in 400ml PET bottles, Bioocha is available in Original and Lychee variants at participating 7-Eleven stores in Thailand.

Betagen has successfully positioned its kombucha around an easy-to-drink taste profile, helping make the fermented drink more approachable. For Bioocha to achieve broader mass-market appeal, it will similarly need to deliver an accessible, easy-to-drink taste while retaining the fermented tea cues that differentiate kombucha from more conventional beverages.
