The 3-day Chinese New Year celebration arrives in George Town with live performances, interactive games, and a curated local market
GEORGE TOWN, 13 February 2026 – In the spirit of 敢敢冲 (Dare to Charge Forward), Tiger Beer brought Tiger Town to Penang, following a successful Kuala Lumpur edition earlier this season. The three-day Chinese New Year celebration is taking place at Gurney Paragon Mall from 13 to 15 February 2026, marking the event’s expansion into a multi-city format in its second year.

Live performances anchor the Tiger Town experience in Penang, with fresh, newly curated sets created specifically for the George Town stop. The stage featured performances by 3P on 13 February, followed by Chang Yong and Chang Le on 14 February. In addition, Tiger Town partnered with Zai San Bei, a Penang-based, full-band livehouse which performed live music that blended familiar Chinese New Year anthems with contemporary sounds.

Beyond the stage, Tiger Town features themed games inspired by the brand’s 敢敢冲 (Dare to Charge Forward) spirit. Built on coordination, speed, and teamwork, these squad-based challenges focus on reflexes and collaboration, turning friendly competition into shared moments of collective play.
Developed with Moondiri Market, the curated market surrounds the main stage, showcasing local makers and eateries that reflect the same grassroots spirit Tiger champions. Anchored in local creativity and craft, the market adds depth to the experience while grounding Tiger Town in a sense of community.

Tiger Town also features the Tiger x atmos: Spirit of the Tiger collection. This collaboration with the Tokyo streetwear label fuses traditional Japanese calligraphy with bold, graphic storytelling inspired by the raw energy of Asian street fronts. The collection translates the 敢敢冲 (Dare to Charge Forward) spirit into street-ready style and is also available at selected atmos retail stores, and online.
“We saw strong turnout and vibrant energy at the Kuala Lumpur edition, and we’re excited to bring that momentum to Penang,” said Julie Kuan, Marketing Manager of Tiger Beer Malaysia. “Chinese New Year is a time for coming together, and Tiger Town creates a space to connect through music, games, and shared moments, with Tiger Beer as part of the celebration.”
