Smoke & Mirrors Launches “Married Pony” Menu

Bergamot & Gimlet

The supplement menu showcases classic cocktails married with one ingredient served in a pony format for easy enjoyment

Singapore, 27 February 2020 – Destination rooftop cocktail bar Smoke & Mirrors presents Married Pony – a specially curated menu that allows for true indulgence for less. Developed by Head Bartender Jorge A. Conde, the menu showcases eight distinguished classic cocktails, each of them married to one ingredient.

Launching on 2 March 2020 with all drinks priced at S$18++, the menu invites guests to sample a range of cocktails served in an easy pony format. The term ‘Pony’ dates back to the 19th century, and it describes a small stemmed glass that can hold 142ml, while most cocktails contain about 220ml. A standalone from the bar’s Illusion of Flavours menu, the Married Pony allows for ultimate decadence where guests can imbibe in a range of classic drinks at any point of the day.

Cacao & Negroni

Highlights include the Turmeric & Spritzer, a well-balanced tipple made with Select Venezian Aperitivo, topped with sparkling wine and married with aromatic turmeric, and the Cacao & Negroni which sees the classic Negroni made with prohibition Shiraz barrel-aged gin, Campari, Cocchi di Torino and cacao.

Savour the Bergamot & Gimlet made with Gin Mare, Italicus Rosolio Di Beramotto and citrus, while the refreshing Kaffir & Margarita sees a mix of Código 1530 Blanco tequila, salted lime cordial and fragrant kaffir lime distillate.

A classic Peruvian cocktail is given a twist with the Peach & Pisco Sour, shaken with Barsol Quebranta Pisco, lime cordial, aquafaba and peach. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy the Caramel & Old Fashioned, muddled with Woodford Reserve Rye, bitters and salted caramel.

The Plum & Rob Roy features the Lost Distillery Jericho, a special house blend of vermouths and umeshu. Coffee-lovers can rejoice in the Cardamom & Espresso Martini made with Old Young’s sugar cane vodka, Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and cardamom distillate.
