SINGAPORE, 9/9/26 — Agrocorp International, a Singapore-headquartered global agribusiness, today announces the launch of Herbyvore™ Protein Powder through its consumer nutrition brand, Herbyvore. The launch marks a strategic step in Agrocorp’s expansion into consumer wellness, drawing on the company’s established plant protein sourcing and processing capabilities across more than 50 countries.
The announcement signals Herbyvore’s broader ambition to build a protein lifestyle platform for Southeast Asia. The Protein Powder launch represents the first phase of a broader category strategy; additional product categories, including protein-fortified snacks and protein-enriched everyday staples, are planned for launch in the coming months.
Central to this platform strategy is a focus on resolving long-standing functional limitations in current plant-based products. Plant protein has faced persistent adoption barriers, including digestive discomfort and inconsistent sensory quality, which have limited its integration into daily consumption habits. Herbyvore’s formulation is designed to address this gap through a complementary pea and rice protein blend, engineered for a fuller amino acid profile, combined with a clinically studied digestive enzyme intended to support protein digestion and reduce the gastrointestinal discomfort commonly associated with plant-based proteins.
The formulation maintains a concise ingredient list and is vegan, gluten-free, and made with non-GMO ingredients. Each production batch is independently tested for heavy metals, in line with the brand’s stated commitment to formulation transparency.
The initial range comprises five flavours — Coffee, Matcha, Chocolate, Berries, and an unsweetened Naked Protein — developed for integration across a range of dietary preferences and daily use occasions. Naked Protein, positioned as a neutral, versatile base for shakes, cooking, and baking, is supported by a recipe development partnership with Anna Lees, culinary expert, nutritionist, and founder of Culinova Consulting.
“What I love about Herbyvore’s Naked Protein is its quality and versatility — it blends into practically anything without the gritty texture or heavy aftertaste often associated with plant protein,” says Anna Lees. “It is simple, clean nutrition designed for real life.”
Herbyvore’s position is distinguished by the infrastructure of its parent company: Agrocorp International already sources and processes plant protein at scale across its global operations. This existing supply chain capability provides a foundation for Herbyvore’s planned category expansion, differentiating the brand from newer market entrants operating without comparable sourcing and manufacturing infrastructure.
“Protein powder is our starting point, not the full extent of our ambition,” said Vishal Vijay, CEO of Agrocorp International. “We are building a protein lifestyle brand that can meet people throughout their day — from the morning shake and the snack in their bag to the noodles on their table — with the same commitment to clean formulation, enjoyable taste and real functionality.”
Herbyvore™ Protein Powder will be available in 460g-1kg tubs and single-serving sachets through the Herbyvore website, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, with an Amazon listing expected to follow. Herbyvore is also establishing the Herbyvore Collective, a network of active-lifestyle ambassadors, and plans a series of pop-ups, tastings, and community events over the course of the year.
The launch positions Herbyvore, and Agrocorp International, at the intersection of agricultural supply chain expertise and rising consumer demand for functional, better-for-you nutrition across Southeast Asia.
