Carlsberg Golf Classic Celebrates Its Finale at World-Class Stage

The 32nd edition of nationwide tournament concludes with a celebration of sportsmanship

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 November 2025 – Carlsberg Golf Classic (CGC), the country’s most celebrated and longest-running amateur golf tournament series, concluded its 32nd edition with an exhilarating finale at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) West Course, offering participating golfers a worldclass stage of the recently concluded LPGA Championship tournament.

With a prize pool worth more than RM2.7 million, Carlsberg Golf Classic 2025 delivered a tournament experience that rewards not just performance, but also sportsmanship, delivering better with every round that’s #BestWithCarlsberg.

Carlsberg Golf Classic (CGC), the country’s most celebrated and longest-running amateur golf tournament series, concluded its 32nd edition with an exhilarating finale at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club

This year’s edition brought together over 3,600 golfers across 32 qualifying rounds nationwide — spanning Johor, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Putrajaya, Sabah, Sarawak, and Selangor — and culminating in a national showdown of 64 gross and nett champions of respective golf clubs.

CGC 2025 Gross Champion, Lam Kong Foo

The grand finale saw competitive yet jolly moments from start to finish. Lam Kong Foo emerged victorious as the Gross Champion, delivering a confident and consistent round to clinch the top title with a score of 73, while Kaashvini Sasi Kumar, aged 21, claimed the Nett Champion honours with a final score of 74, playing off a handicap of 6, reflecting steady form across the greens.

Reflecting on the achievement, Kaashvini, from Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia shared, “I owe this to my parents and loved ones, who have been my biggest cheerleaders, believing in me even on my toughest days. Winning the Nett Champion title at Carlsberg Golf Classic means so much to me. Playing alongside golfers of all levels on such a course reminded me that golf isn’t just about scores, it’s about friendships, and the shared joy of competing together.”
