Lay’s Thailand has brought back Lay’s Light, answering consumer demand for a lighter snacking option. This time, the recipe has been reformulated to reduce sodium by up to 40%, while still promising the same delicious taste that fans love.

The new lineup introduces three distinctive flavours: Himalayan Salt, Nori Seaweed and Truffle.

With this relaunch, Lay’s is positioning Lay’s Light as a guilt‑free indulgence, balancing flavour satisfaction with mindful nutrition. Consumers can now enjoy their favourite chips with less sodium, available conveniently at 7‑Eleven stores nationwide.

The decision to highlight 40% less sodium is directly tied to rising public health concerns. Excess sodium intake is strongly linked to hypertension, or high blood pressure, which is one of the most common and preventable cardiovascular risk factors worldwide. By reformulating Lay’s Light, PepsiCo Thailand is making the product more permissible for health‑conscious consumers, allowing them to indulge without the same level of dietary guilt.
