PENANG, 16 DEC – FoodPreneur Expo 2025, powered by Foodicious Sdn. Bhd., officially opened its doors today at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, Penang. The inaugural event was officiated by the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow, accompanied by YB Joseph Ng Soon Siang, ADUN Air Itam and CEO of Foodicious Sdn Bhd, Aleex Quah, along with distinguished VIP guests.

Recognised as Southeast Asia’s first dedicated F&B entrepreneurship expo, FoodPreneur Expo 2025 marks a new milestone for Malaysia’s food and beverage landscape. The expo aims to empower aspiring and established foodpreneurs through knowledge-sharing, business matching, and access to regional and international opportunities.

Held from 16 to 18 December, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Ballroom 4, Setia SPICE Convention Centre – Penang, the three-day exhibition brings together SMEs, startups, OEM manufacturers, franchise providers, investors, and service enablers under one roof.

In conjunction with the opening, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Foodicious Sdn. Bhd. and two international partners — Zhong Tou Meng and Guizhou Hejiang Culture Media Co., Ltd. from the People’s Republic of China — reinforcing cross-border collaboration and future initiatives in F&B entrepreneurship.

Alongside this, the FoodPreneur LAB connects entrepreneurs with essential support services, including financial institutions, business development partners, and OEM manufacturers, helping them move forward in their business journey.

This year’s expo also features 42 brands from Malaysia, Poland, China and Thailand, occupying 55 booths across the exhibition hall, offering visitors a diverse showcase of products, services, and business solutions.

FoodPreneur Expo 2025 is expected to welcome over 8,000 visitors, further strengthening its position as a key platform for business networking, F&B innovation, and industry collaboration.

First Tested iCAUR EV Off-Road SUV Delivers Robust Safety Performance Under Current Assessment Protocol

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 DECEMBER 2025 – iCAUR Malaysia today announced that the iCAUR V23 has achieved a full 5-Star rating under the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP), recording an overall score of 91.02 points. 

The result reflects the strong performance of the iCAUR V23 across key assessment criteria, underscoring iCAUR’s commitment to delivering advanced safety and its distinctive “Born to Play” spirit for customers. 

Announcing the achievement, Chery Corporate Malaysia, Executive Vice President, Men Lin Bo, said, “The iCAUR V23 introduces an exciting and dynamic approach to EV mobility that also places vehicle safety at the forefront. This 5-Star ASEAN NCAP achievement reaffirms our commitment to delivering high levels of safety, while also demonstrating our strong support for the Malaysian government through close collaboration with agencies such as MIROS in advancing vehicle safety standards and awareness nationwide.”

The iCAUR V23 was assessed under the current 2021–2025 ASEAN NCAP assessment protocol, achieving 39.71 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 16.67 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP), 17.14 points for Safety Assist Technologies (SATs) and 17.50 points for Motorcyclist Safety (MS).

This comprehensive performance resulted in the 5-Star overall rating and positions the iCAUR V23 among the top-performing vehicles evaluated under the current 2021–2025 protocol, as well as the first fully electric off-road SUV to be assessed by ASEAN NCAP.

The iCAUR V23 combines rugged off-road ready capability with a comprehensive suite of safety technologies. The iCAUR V23’s strong structural foundation is built around a cage-like frame comprising 70% high-strength steel.  

This rigidity is paired with a Battery Management System (BMS) that delivers high-voltage protection and precise liquid-cooled temperature management, ensuring the battery remains safe even in the event of a collision. 

Together, these elements help ensure reliable protection under both everyday use and more challenging driving conditions. 

Meanwhile, the iCAUR V23 features a comprehensive safety suite that includes six airbags and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) as standard across both 2WD and iWD variants. 

The suite is further supported by a millimetre-wave radar integrated into the vehicle body to enhance detection accuracy across a wide range of driving environments.
