AB Pascual Foods, the yogurt division of Lucio Tan’s Asia Brewery Inc., is allocating PHP 1 billion to build a long-life yogurt manufacturing plant in Laguna—hailed as the first of its kind in both the Philippines and Southeast Asia, reported Business Inquirer.
The company presently sources its yogurt from Spain for local distribution. However, with construction of its new facility slated to begin “soon,” the plant will enable a shift to domestic production—fulfilling local demand and paving the way for future exports across Southeast Asia.
The new facility will be constructed adjacent to Asia Brewery’s existing manufacturing complex in Cabuyao, Laguna.
In 2024, Pascual captured 45% of the domestic yogurt market.
