Kuala Lumpur, 11 April 2022 – Coca-Cola®, true to its brand philosophy of bringing people and communities together, celebrates Ramadan by giving back to over 4,000 beneficiaries in Malaysia. This initiative – in partnership with Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia, Mydin, and Marrybown – hopes to underscore the meaning of Ramadan which is all about gratitude, community, and generosity to those in need.

“At Coca-Cola, people have—and always will be—at the heart of our business. From our employees, our customers, and local communities, we always strive to find ways to improve the lives of people around us. We are grateful to have the opportunity to support Muslim Aid Malaysia in easing the burden of those in need, marking a partnership that has lasted more than 10 years. In line with our Real Magic® brand philosophy, it is our hope that our efforts will bring delight to Malaysians and help create a better shared future together, especially during these difficult times,” said Amruta Vaidya, Franchise Director, Coca-Cola Malaysia.

This year, Coca-Cola and Muslim Aid Malaysia will deliver buka puasa meals, food hampers, and duit Raya to over 4,000 beneficiaries, in the hopes of bringing joy during Ramadan. Under the Fast2Feed program, Coca-Cola and Muslim Aid Malaysia go to 22 different locations in Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Terengganu, Pahang, Kelantan, and Sabah from April 3-27.

“We are thankful for Coca-Cola Malaysia’s dedication and continued support, which has enabled us to extend our reach to more underprivileged communities since 2010. We encourage both individuals and corporates to join and support us in realizing the Fast2Feed program as we work towards easing the burden of the less fortunate, including orphans and poor families,” said Habsah Marjuni, Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Malaysia’s, Chief Operating Officer.

This will be Muslim Aid Malaysia’s 15th year of delivering Fast2Feed to Malaysians, acting as a bridge between the donors and recipients. The Muslim Aid network also delivers similar programs in many other countries.

COCA-COLA’S REAL MAGIC brand philosophy believes that magic is everywhere. It is alive in both small and big moments. It is real in shared moments with people we love and even with our community, whether these connections are made physically or virtually. Thus, in addition to the Fast2Feed support, Coca-Cola and Muslim Aid Malaysia will also be collaborating with Mydin and Marrybrown on a range of activities. Mydin will be treating over 200 orphans and underprivileged children to a special Hari Raya shopping activity where they can shop for new clothes ahead of Hari Raya, while Marrybrown will be contributing their Ramadan signature meals – the MB™ Nasi Lemak.

“Mydin believes in the power of togetherness in every heart that we do and always work together hand in hand with our partners to support the noble initiative in bringing smiles to all the underprivileged, this collaboration tagged along with our 2022 Syawal campaign “Senyuman Syawal”. Our Mydin Prihatin CSR will continue to extend hands and hope this collaboration will bring happiness to the underprivileged communities this Aidilfitri,” said Datuk Dr. Ameer Ali, Managing Director, Mydin.

“At Marrybrown, we believe that meals are made to be shared by all and that there is no better way to celebrate Ramadan than to gather people over a good meal. We are truly blessed for being able to contribute in a small way, providing our meals to those in need,” said Dato’ Joshua Liew, Chief Executive Officer, Marrybrown.

In embracing the spirit of togetherness during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Coca-Cola Malaysia recently partnered Mydin to treat 100 orphans and underprivileged children to a special Hari Raya shopping outing at MYDIN Tunjong, Kelantan.
