MOCCONA invites coffee lovers to appreciate what is precious through two new captivating designs inspired by the underwater world.
KUALA LUMPUR, 25 SEPTEMBER 2023 – MOCCONA is delighted to introduce its new limited-edition decorative jars adorned with aquatic-themed designs that evoke awareness for marine habitats and the endangered species living in them.
Inspired by the enchanting underwater world, MOCCONA’s limited edition decorative jars feature intricate illustrations of endangered creatures in our region, namely river dolphins, sea turtles, and spotted seals. Through these designs, MOCCONA aims to raise awareness of endangered habitats and species and preserve what’s precious.
MOCCONA’s limited edition decorative jars are available on store shelves from 11 September 2023.
MOCCONA chose to feature endangered aquatic species to create widespread awareness and serve as a poignant reminder to safeguard these species and their delicate habitats, which are increasingly facing destruction due to human activities such as overfishing and plastic pollution.
MOCCONA also encourages coffee lovers to make a difference by practising upcycling in repurposing these 100% recyclable glass jars to be decorative pieces, coffee mugs, or storage solutions for food and fashion accessories, as a way to support the sustainability of our planet.
Phoon Shi Fun, Head of Marketing for JDE Malaysia, MOCCONA’s brand owner, expressed her vision for this initiative:
“Environmental sustainability is paramount for both our land and underwater ecosystems, as they are intrinsically linked and crucial to our well-being. Through these decorative jars, we aim to shine a light on pressing environmental issues and offer a small yet impactful step that consumers can take towards creating a better world for all. While creating moments of indulgence with our coffee, we hope to rally coffee lovers to practise a sustainable lifestyle, starting with upcycling our 100 percent recyclable glass jars,” said Shi Fun.
The limited-edition decorative jars are available in three MOCCONA coffee intensities (Number 5, 8, and 10) and two designs, can be purchased at RM37.96 starting today. The limited-edition decorative jars are only being sold in 2023.
