Singapore, 1 January 2024 – Singapore ushered in the new year with mesmerising countdown fireworks at the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024, presented by the Urban Redevelopment Authority. This year, the highly-anticipated fireworks display was launched from a more central location of the Bay, offering more spectators a captivating viewing experience from all around.
Across three chapters in the hour leading up to the new year, the fireworks illuminated the Bay, telling an uplifting story of reflection and new beginnings. A spectacular finale at midnight capped off the festivities as we welcomed 2024 with a bang.
Since the start of December 2023, revellers from Singapore and abroad had gathered at the liveliest part of the city centre to immerse themselves in the celebrations. Visitors were treated to the uplifting Brightening Lives light projections, exhilarating experiences at Ice Magic: Winter Wonderland and the TurboCharged go-kart arena as well as delightful live performances at Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate 2024 countdown concert and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay’s Come Together.
As the year drew to a close, unforgettable experiences and cherished memories were forged at the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2024, heralding the start of a great year ahead.
