Born in 1996 from a moment of inspired madness, SOULed OUT began when founder Fred Choo spotted an old restaurant space during a morning jog and decided to take a chance. With no background in F&B and only a vision, Choo, alongside his partner, set out to create a dining experience that went beyond food. The goal wasn’t just to serve great meals — it was to build a space where community thrived, where strangers became friends over shared plates and signature mojitos, and where memorable nights unfolded with every visit. That vision became a lifestyle.
Today, SOULed OUT has grown into a powerhouse with nine outlets under its belt across the SOULed OUT, WIP, and NOA brands. Expect food and drink stations to transform the venue, a show-stopping Mojito Bar with 30 different flavours (yes, 30!), and more! Leading the festivities is PEARLLY, SOULed OUT’s dazzling ringmaster mascot who embodies the spirit of this milestone celebration — aptly named after the traditional 30th anniversary gift of pearls — as she brings together music, laughter, delicious food and drinks, and non-stop entertainment to create unforgettable memories for all.
It wouldn’t be a SOULed OUT celebration without a stellar lineup of live music. Local legend Dato’ Zainal Abidin and Malaysia’s finest including Junji Delfino, Dasha Logan, Pop n Bop, Jordan Rivers, Samantha De Lune, and Izen Kong, along with a spectacular 17-piece SOULed OUT Big Band, are set to headline Wonderfest.
Running from sun-up till midnight, SOULed OUT’s Wonderfest is set to mirror its phenomenal menu – there’s something for everyone. Kicking off in the morning with a Coffee Rave and activities to get those muscles moving and blood pumping, the event will roll through a packed schedule of entertainment, dining, and dancing right up until midnight. With family-friendly activities, stellar food, and back-to-back live performances, the festival truly mirrors what SOULed OUT has always stood for: inclusivity, joy, and a whole lot of soul and unforgettable memories.
Staying true to SOULed OUT’s focus on community, at the heart of the anniversary celebration is the spirit of giving back. The Heart & SOUL initiative will channel 20% of its proceeds from Wonderfest to three outstanding charities: Hospis Malaysia, The Lost Food Project, and Dignity for Children Foundation. Various fundraising initiatives will work to benefit these incredible organisations making real differences in Malaysian lives by providing compassionate palliative care, fighting food waste while feeding the hungry, and empowering underprivileged children through education.
