Shanghai‑based Nowwa Coffee has become the latest Chinese coffee chain to enter Malaysia, opening its first outlet at KL Eco City Mall. The brand is distinguished by its low‑sugar, low‑calorie, and fruit‑infused coffee offerings.

On 10 February 2026, VCI Global Limited (NASDAQ: VCIG) announced that Reveillon Champ Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of its portfolio company Reveillon Group Limited, has entered into a strategic cooperation with NOWWA Global HK Limited to develop the Malaysian market. This agreement establishes a foundation for potential wider expansion across Southeast Asia.

Reveillon Group plans to scale NOWWA Coffee to 200 outlets across Malaysia within three years, adopting a mix of flagship stores, grab‑and‑go formats, and digitally optimized locations.

NOWWA Coffee’s beverage line‑up includes distinctive creations such as Pomelo Americano, Signature Gold Americano, Coconut Latte, Pistachio Oat Latte, Blush Peach Americano, Slim Cheese Latte, Lemon Breeze Americano, and Kale Apple Americano.

Founded in 2019, Nowwa Coffee operated just over 1,000 outlets by the end of 2024, but its expansion accelerated dramatically in 2025, surpassing 10,000 locations — primarily convenience‑store coffee points.

Rather than opening standalone cafés, Nowwa pursues an asset‑light model by installing compact coffee bars inside convenience stores. This approach requires only a modest equipment deposit of around RMB 10,000, minimal space of 2–4 square meters, and no dedicated baristas, enabling rapid scale‑up with lower operating costs.
