Tapping into the surging popularity of mala konjac snacks, Charoen Pokphand (CP) has introduced a bold new product under its CP Play line in collaboration with Sunsu. The launch brings together CP’s expertise in sausages with Sunsu’s hit konjac snack “Muek Groob,” creating a hybrid that blends indulgence with novelty.
The new Spicy Mala Konjac Sausage combines chicken and pork sausage with chewy konjac strands, all infused with a fiery mala sauce. The result is a dual‑textured experience: the firm bite of meat paired with the springy crunch of konjac, elevated by the numbing heat of Sichuan peppercorns.
Marketed as “a new kind of fun from CP Play,” the product is designed to resonate with younger consumers who crave adventurous flavours and playful formats. By pairing sausage with konjac in a mala profile, CP and Sunsu highlight how cross‑category collaborations can transform everyday snacking into a more exciting, trend‑driven experience.
Ingredients: Chicken meat 54%, pork meat 11%, seasoning 10%, mala seasoned konjac 8% (flavor enhancers (monosodium L-glutamate, glycine, disodium 5′-ribonucleotide), food additives (INS1412, INS451(i), INS262(ii), INS160c(i), INS316, preservative (INS250)), natural and artificial flavors.
