Kuala Lumpur, Sept 22 – Get ready to say “Itadakimasu!” as Yeo’s brings the taste and spirit of Japan to the heart of Bukit Bintang with Yeo’s Itadakimasu – Tuna with a Twist, celebrating the launch of its first-ever Yeo’s Teriyaki Tuna in Malaysia. With a heritage built on pioneering food and beverage innovation, Yeo’s has continuously evolved to bring Asian flavours and everyday convenience to consumers. From being among the first to introduce Canned Curry Chicken to pioneering a diverse range of Asian beverages and sauces, Yeo’s has consistently pushed boundaries and found new ways to bring familiar flavours to consumers.
Over the years, Yeo’s has continued to expand its offerings, evolving with changing consumer tastes and embracing new flavour inspirations. Continuing this spirit of innovation, Yeo’s is now looking beyond familiar local flavours to explore international-inspired tastes with Yeo’s Teriyaki Tuna. Featuring tender tuna paired with a savoury teriyaki sauce, the new creation brings a distinctive Japanese twist to the range alongside Yeo’s Chilli Tuna, offering consumers a fresh and exciting way to enjoy a familiar pantry staple.
Beyond the new flavour introduction, visitors can head to The Starhill Ground Floor Piazza in Bukit Bintang from 2 to 4 October for Yeo’s Itadakimasu – Tuna with a Twist. The vibrant Japanese-inspired playground will invite Malaysians to discover the sights, flavours and culture of Japan through a series of fun and interactive activities.
Visitors can embark on a stamp-collecting adventure across the experiential stations and collect stamps as they explore the different activities. They can sample Yeo’s Teriyaki Tuna, learn more about the Japanese inspiration behind the flavour and capture their moments at the Japan-inspired photobooth. Visitors can also test their luck at the Gashapon game with exciting prizes up for grabs including onsen vouchers, Gochiso vouchers, Yeo’s products, Touch ‘n Go reloads and even a flight ticket to Japan.
Adding to the excitement, visitors can also take part in a Cosplay Competition, bringing their favourite characters and Japanese-inspired looks to life at the roadshow. A short Japanese drum launch gimmick will also add an energetic touch to the official product launch on 3 October, creating a memorable moment for visitors.
Taking the excitement to the streets, Yeo’s will also bring a taste of Japan to Bukit Bintang through a fun and unexpected guerrilla activation. Inspired by the energy of Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya Crossing, Yeo’s guerrilla crew will dress in kimonos and other traditional Japanese wafuku and make their way around Bukit Bintang, creating an unexpected Japanese-inspired spectacle in the heart of the city. The activation gives the public an opportunity to witness, engage with and capture the moment up close, adding to the excitement of Yeo’s Itadakimasu – Tuna with a Twist.
The excitement continues beyond the roadshow with the “Yeo’s To Japan Contest – Win Tickets to Japan” running from 1 October to 30 November. Consumers who purchase participating Yeo’s products including Yeo’s Teriyaki Tuna or Yeo’s Chilli Tuna can take a photo or video showing how they enjoy their Yeo’s Tuna and share it on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, while tagging the applicable Yeo’s Food Malaysia social media account. A total of 12 winners will be selected under the contest.
