The name Lesung (Malay for pestle and mortar) is inspired by one of the instrumental kitchen tools in traditional Malay cooking, used for grinding spices and pounding condiments. The name Lesung may have creative potentials for concept and stylem highlighting the overall authentic cooking style which are the undertones of Executive Chef Daneh’s creations of freshness, original and uniqueness.
