Kuala Lumpur, 11 January 2023 – It’s a battle of the crème de la crème in pastry making! This month, four Malaysian pastry chefs will show off their creativity and technical skill on the international stage at the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2023 in Lyon, France. Also known as Pastry World Cup, this global competition gathers top pastry chefs worldwide to put their technical and creative skills to the ultimate test.

This prestigious competition requires chefs to produce a Sugar sculpture with Chocolate Entrement, Chocolate Sculpture with plated desserts, Ice sculpture with Frozen desserts and Frozen Lollipop over two days of intense competition, for 10 hours. Team Malaysia will go up against teams from 20 countries and develop innovative pastry creations centred around the theme of ‘climate change’.

The inspiration and innovation that Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie 2023 requires from participants are partly why Debic – the 100 years premium European dairy brand made for professional hands and one of the sponsors of this prestigious competition – has been a passionate global supporter of the competition for over 20 years. Debic is also a proud sponsor of team Malaysia 2023.
