Ovaltine has introduced two new plant‑based variants — Cocoa Malt and White Malt — marking its entry into the growing plant‑based beverage segment in Thailand. The launch highlights the brand’s effort to tap into the plant-based movement and making Ovaltine suitable for consumers with lactose intolerant. The launch also coincides with the Vegetarian Festival, which takes place nationwide from 10 to 18 October 2026.
Each 180ml serving delivers 4g of protein and is naturally sweetened with coconut blossom nectar. The formulation primarily consists of almond milk (70–75%), walnut milk (9.2–9.4%), and oat milk (3.2–3.8%), creating a smooth, nutty profile that complements the malt base. The drinks are fortified with 18 nutrients, including Omega‑3 and GABA.
