Mars Incorporated has officially opened its first Pringles manufacturing facility in Thailand, alongside the start‑up of a second production line. The THB 7 billion investment has created more than 170 direct jobs and reinforces Thailand’s role as a strategic manufacturing and export base.
Located in Chonburi’s Eastern Economic Corridor, the 73,800 sqm plant began production in late 2025, with a second line commencing operations in September 2026. It supplies Pringles across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region, already serving India, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with more markets to follow. A third line is planned for end‑2027.
Close to 50% of procurement spend is directed to local suppliers, while women represent about 50% of leadership positions, reflecting Mars’ commitment to inclusive growth. The facility integrates smart manufacturing systems, advanced food safety, and sustainability measures including energy‑efficient technologies, wastewater treatment and waste reduction.
Gabriel Fernandez, President, AMEA Mars Snacking, said: “The official opening of our Chonburi plant, with the launch of our second production line, marks an important milestone in Mars’ long‑term commitment to Thailand as a strategic manufacturing and export base.”
Mars now operates both the established Bandar Enstek plant in Malaysia and its newly opened facility in Chonburi, Thailand.
