Bangkok, 31 January 2025 – Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the manufacturer and distributor of beverage products under the Suntory and PepsiCo brands in Thailand, announces the appointment of Mr. Tanuj Chadha as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2025.

Mr. Tanuj Chadha began his career as a Territory Development Manager with PepsiCo India in 2004. He later took on key leadership roles in India, including Unit Manager at PepsiCo and Division Head at Marico Limited.

In 2019, Tanuj brought over 14 years of expertise in sales, marketing, and management to join Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as Sales Director. He led the sales team in strengthening the Route to Market fundamentals focusing on execution, expansion and engagement. He brought fresh perspectives to drive commercial capabilities and enabled the team to find innovative solutions to tough business problems, including the COVID-19 crisis, improving competitiveness and performance.

Prior to his new role as CEO, Mr. Chadha served as Chief Commercial Excellence Officer at Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pacific, where he played a pivotal role in scaling up Commercial Excellence across Asia Pacific as an integrated approach between Shopper Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Price

Pack Architecture & Route to Market. His efforts have significantly contributed to improving revenue streams, achieving a balanced market share and profitable volume growth. He partnered cross -functionally to strengthen category thinking, foster Gen Z forward innovation plans and business transformation, further enhancing the organization’s competitive edge. With his global outlook, leadership and category experience, he has earned recognition across the Asia Pacific for delivering consistent business performance and people results.

Indomie launches premium Korean Ramyeon in Malaysia, powered by NewJeans

Indomie has recently released two new Korean-inspired instant noodles in Malaysia, following a similar launch in Indonesia. The new premium collection Korean ramyeon comprises Spicy Ramyeon (soup noodle) and Fiery Chicken (fried noodle).

Indomie has enlisted KPop girl group NewJeans as its Global Brand Ambassador, aiming to capitalise on their popularity and connect with younger consumers.

Sunflower NutriScent is a new low GI fragrant rice

YHL Group has introduced its latest Sunflower NutriScent, a fragrant rice with low glycemic index (below 52). NutriScent offers the perfect balance of taste and wellness, allowing you to enjoy flavorful meals without the guilt. This growth aligns with the overall expansion of Thailand’s coffee market, which is now valued at over 60 billion baht. The company has set an ambitious sales target of 5.8 billion THB for 2025, alongside plans to expand to 600 branches nationwide. In a strategic move, Punthai Coffee has launched a new brand tagline for the first time in 12 years: #AnythingIsPossibleWithPunthai. This tagline reflects the brand’s DNA of relentless innovation and creativity. Additionally, Punthai Coffee is leveraging its partnership with Korean travel YouTuber Cullen – P’Jung during the fourth quarter of last year, to significantly broaden its reach among younger consumers. This collaboration aims to promote its premium Thai-origin coffee, Thairicano, and elevate Thai specialty coffee to international recognition.

Wide Faith Foods reduces environmental impact with new Rice Chippies packaging

Thailand-based Wide Faith Foods, the maker of Rice Chippies, is now using 100% recyclable packaging for the crispy rice snack made from Thai rice. The move helps to reduce plastic waste from snack packaging and lessens environmental impact.

The company uses an innovative packaging production that utilises only polypropylene (PP) plastic, without mixing other types of plastic. This simplifies recycling, reduces complexity and costs in sorting materials, and increases efficiency. PP plastic is a thermoplastic that can be repeatedly melted and remolded without affecting its quality.

Rice Chippies with the recyclable packaging will be available in Thailand from January 2025 onwards, in a 50-gram size, priced at THB 29. Rice Chippes are available in four flavours namely BBQ, Sour Cream & Onion, Sea Salt and Cheese.
