Koppiku grand launch of TTDI outlet on 24 August 2024, new drink Iced Turbo Splash

Malaysia-based coffee chain Koppiku has expanded its outlets with the grand opening event at its newest TTDI outlet on 24 August 2024. Free Koppiku Latte is available to redeem at 11am, 3pm and 7pm on a first come, first served basis.

TTDI outlet: 21, Lorong Rahim Kajai 13 TTDI (located next to Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu)

The chain is partnering with Big Boss HSP to offer free bombolini on 24 August 2024. Bombolini is an Italian-filled doughnut that can be eaten as a snack or dessert.

Koppiku has also opened an outlet in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, at South City Plaza. Joining the new additions are:

  • International Islamic University Malaysia (UIA)
  • Taylor’s Lakeside (Syopz Mall)
  • Jaya One, located at Level G, The School (next to Doi Chaang)

In addition to the new outlets, Koppiku is celebrating Golf’s 50th anniversary with the new limited-time drink, Iced Turbo Splash. The drink combines a bold shot of Koppiku espresso with zesty lemon and a splash of soda.

Coca-Cola relaunches glass packaging to improve circularity in Indonesia

The Coca-Cola Co has relaunched the Original Glass bottle in Indonesia as a way to improve circularity. Glass packaging promotes circularity as glass material can be recycled indefinitely without losing quality, creating a closed-loop system.

The beverage giant is selling the drinks in 200ml glass bottle for IDR 3,000 (USD 0.19) mainly in food outlets across Jakarta.

Power Root brings Ah Hua Gao Siew Dai to Malaysia

Power Root Bhd has introduced Ah Hua Gao Siew Dai instant coffee with a less sweet yet rich flavour in Malaysia. Ah Hua Gao Siew Dai retains the strong roast but with a less sweet profile, ideally suitable for consumers who want a less sweet version of their coffee. 

Ah Hua Gao Siew Dai is available in Singapore, and the company recently introduced it into the Malaysian market. The word ‘gao siew dai‘, which means strong coffee with less sugar and milk, is popular in Singapore but not in Malaysia. Perhaps the company needs to change the wording to reflect the familiar terms used in the Malaysian market.
