New Chitato Lite potato chips with Indomie Ayam Bawang flavour

Indonesia’s Indofood has combined two flagship products, Chitato Lite potato chip, and Indomie, to create the new Chitato Lite x Indomie Ayam Bawang. This product features the flavour of Indomie chicken onion-flavoured instant noodles.

In the past, Indofood has introduced Indomie-flavoured potato chips, including Indomie Mi Goreng Fried Noodle and Indomie Corned Beef Fried Noodle.

Indomie Rawon Pedas Mercon pays homage to East Java cuisine

Indomie Rawon Pedas Mercon is the new instant noodle featuring Indonesian beef soup rawon but with a spicy taste. The word ‘Mercon’ means fireworks, and it implies strong heat intensity.

The instant noodle comes in black soup mimicking the real rawon, which uses the black keluak nut as the main seasoning, giving the soup a dark colour.

Indomie Rawon Pedas Mercon is part of the flavour of Indonesia range, and this particular product pays homage to East Java’s cuisine.

Try the new Tango Walut Brazilian Banana and Tango Coconut

Indonesia’s Orang Tua (OT) has made new Tango wafer products available in the local market. The new Tango Walut Brazilian Banana combines chocolate and banana flavours, while the new Tango Coconut is a wafer with the coconut flavour. OT has also unveiled Tango Milky Chocolate for those who want the indulgent taste of chocolate. 

New ABC Sambal Extreme Pedas made using Hiyung bird’s eye chili

PT Heinz ABC Indonesia has gone up one notch in the spicy level with the launch of ABC Sambal Extreme Pedas. This new, extremely spicy sauce is made using Hiyung bird’s eye chili, which is said to be the spiciest in Indonesia.

Indonesians do appreciate heat, and extreme heat will definitely resonate with local consumers.

L-Men new Advanced Gold with HMB addresses muscle loss

L-Men, the male-focused supplement brand of Indonesia’s Nutrifood, has unveiled L-Men Advanced Gold to support the fitness needs of older consumers. To be consumed before or after exercise, L-Men Advanced Gold targets male consumers experiencing muscle loss, which usually starts at 30+.

Each serving contains 15g of protein and 500mg of HMB to strengthen the muscle. L-Men Advanced Gold also has whey protein, L-Glutamine, L-Carnitine and BCAA.

L-Men’s other new product is L-Men Protein Bar Rasa Strongberry, offering 7g of protein per serving and BCAA.

ThaiNamthip and Swire Coca-Cola to form a north ASEAN bottling alliance

Alliance will seek to grow north ASEAN operations through combination of capabilities and scale

09 Feb 2024 – The Coca-Cola Company, ThaiNamthip Corporation Limited and Swire Coca-Cola Limited have announced today they have entered into definitive agreements to form a strategic bottling alliance in north ASEAN, including Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.

The companies will align the management, governance and growth objectives across the ThaiNamthip and Swire Coca-Cola franchise territories with an aim to become the undisputed leader in the beverages market in the region. The alliance will drive profitable growth through world-class differentiating capabilities and a relentless focus on customers and consumers.

The alliance will leverage the local knowledge and understanding in Thailand and Laos of ThaiNamthip and the global perspective of Swire Coca-Cola. Through the combination of their capabilities, scale, and capacity to invest locally, the alliance will seek to achieve their substantial long-term growth ambitions.

The alliance will be brought about by The Coca-Cola Company divesting its minority ownership of ThaiNamthip to both ThaiNamthip and Swire Coca-Cola immediately after signing today. Additionally, subject to regulatory approvals, Swire Coca-Cola will take a controlling stake in ThaiNamthip’s bottling operations in Thailand and Laos, and ThaiNamthip will take a minority stake in Swire Coca-Cola’s bottling operations in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Coca-Cola ASEAN and South Pacific President Claudia Lorenzo said, “Coca-Cola is celebrating 75 years in Thailand this year. We are delighted that in this anniversary year two exceptional bottling partners are joining forces in our key north ASEAN markets. Between them they bring the local knowledge and global insights that will accelerate all our markets forward into the future.”
