Sabah-based Eureka Drinks, which has recently made available Eureka Alert + Awake Energy Drink at 7-Eleven outlets in Malaysia, also sells functional beverages in shot format (90ml).

Right now, it has three SKUs:

Alert + Awake Xpresshot – ideal for those who take coffee (choline, natural guarana, vitamin B, sugar free)

Alert + Awake Energy Shot (Wild Berry) – in wild berry flavour (choline, natural guarana, vitamin B, sugar free)

These shots are sold on all major online food delivery platforms in Malaysia such as Food Panda, Myoto and Morefun. The products are also in provision stores and recreation centers in Sabah.

Eureka Alert + Awake claims to be the first nootropic energy drink in Malaysia. The reason it is called a nootropic energy drink is because it has choline. Nootropic is used to describe ingredients that can improve aspects of your brain functions such as memory, focus or mood. The other more commonly known nootropic is caffeine.

Thailand’s Tofusan has unveiled soymilk with black sesame seeds with the benefits and aroma of black sesame seeds. Black sesame seeds contain sesamin to reduce cholesterol and are rich in vitamins and minerals that are essential for the body. They also help maintain healthy skin and bones as well. Soybeans provide the protein needed by the body. The new Tofusan soymilk with black sesame seeds is vegetarian friendly. The price is THB 20 per bottle (320ml).

Tofusan has also announced the new high protein soymilk (350ml) featuring the dark chocolate flavour. Each bottle contains up to 28g of plant-based protein equivalent to 4 chicken eggs. Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines has announced it will exit the sachet business by 2022 as part of its environmental efforts. The beverage giant makes Eight O’Clock powdered juice drinks sold in non-recyclable sachets in its Cavite-based manufacturing site. This would mean Mondelez’s Tang has one less competitor in the powdered juice category.

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines will also introduce paper straws and remove plastic straws from its Tropicana and Nutriboost juice and dairy products.
