7-Eleven Singapore has made available its halal-certified Butter Chicken Ready-to-Cook Meal Kit at more outlets. Its Butter Chicken delights are just one of the over 20 chef-designed meal kits that promise a stress-free cooking experience.
According to 7-Eleven, “you’ll be able to whip up restaurant-quality meals for the whole family within 15 mins.”
The meal kits include both Asian and Western delights like Chicken Biryani, Oriental Style Beef Stew, Pilaf Rice, Indonesian Style Beef Rendang, Imperial Herbal Chicken and Beef Brisket with Truffle Mash.
Many companies in Southeast Asia have tried dabbling into meal kits but the meal kit concept remains very niche and the products are pricey. It remains to be seen if the concept of selling meal kits through the convenience store channel works in Singapore.
