The latest snacks are Crispy Banana with Spicy Tamarind, Crispy Banana with Tamarind and Crispy Taro with Tamarind. These snacks are suitable for vegans.

Sunbites seaweed snacks launched in Thailand

PepsiCo has introduced seaweed-centric Sunbites in Thailand. The crispy Sunbites seaweeds layered with sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds are said to be better for you.

The latest products are imported from China featuring chargrilled beef steak, seafood and original flavours.

Osotspa launches Lipo-Fine to target female energy drink consumers

Osotspa Public Company, which holds the license to make Taisho Pharmaceutical’s Lipovitan energy drink in Thailand, has launched Lipo-Fine to unlock consumption among female consumers.

Lipo-Fine is an energy drink for health lovers. It contains 0% sugar, 1,000mg of Japanese quality taurine and 15 kcal of energy. The mixed berries flavour aims to make energy drink more palatable to female drinkers.

Mrs. Wannipa Bhakdibutr, President of Osotspa Public Company Limited, said, “Spend per buyer on energy drinks among women consumers continues to grow. Women need something to boost their energy, so they can enjoy their activities throughout the day with confidence while always feeling energized. In addition, the spread of Covid-19 makes it more important for consumers to maintain their health. So they are inclined to spend more on products with health benefits. This provides a marketing opportunity for energy drink products that cater to the needs of women. Osotspa has partnered with Taisho Pharmaceutical to launch a new product inspired from Japan called “Lipo-fine,” an energy drink for women with 0% sugar in a mixed berries flavor, offering a new consumption experience for Thai women.”

Osotspa maintained its number one position in the Thai energy drink market during the first quarter of 2021 with a market share of 54.9%. The core M-150 continued to gain 80 bps YoY in market share and the herbal variant under Som In-Sum Plus launched in 2020 contributed to overall portfolio growth. During the first quarter of 2021, M-150 ZA, a 180 ml carbonated energy drink in can format, was launched offering energy boosting, low sugar, enriched with vitamins, and refreshing taste.

Voiz Choco Salted Caramel and Strawberry flavoured wafers launched

Monde Nissin (Thailand) has added two flavours to the Voiz wafer range. The new flavours are Choco Salted Caramel and Strawberry.

URC Thailand Jack ‘n Jill Fun-o now in cracker format

URC Thailand has introduced Jack ‘n Jill Fun-o Coco Nut and Butter. Thai actor and singer Perawat Sangpotirat, better known as Krist, is endorsing the new products. These crackers (81g) feature the satisfying taste of coconut and butter.

The new products also mark the extension of the Fun-o brand from cookies into crackers. We have seen other biscuit brands like Tiger moving into cracker in the Philippines.

Jack ‘n Jill Biscuit Tivoli Knots with Hokkaido milk flavour

URC Thailand has launched Biscuit with Hokkaido Milk Flavoured Coated under the Jack ‘n Jill Biscuit Tivoli Knots range. The 48g snack is said to come with a sweet and delicious taste. Other flavours in the range include strawberry and dark chocolate.

Kopi Soe launches cold brew series with Expat Roasters

Indonesia’s coffee chain Kopi Soe has teamed up with specialty coffee producer Expat Roasters to launch the Cold Brew Series. The new series feature coffee beans from Expat Roasters and the special recipes from Kopi Soe.

The new Kopi Soe Cold Brew series will be available on Kopi Soe Tokopedia store and at its outlets in Jakarta and Bali from 8 June 2021.
