C-Vitt vitamin C drink adds a new peach flavour to target new generation

Osotspa’s C-Vitt vitamin C drink now has a new peach flavour to target the new generation. This sugar-free drink contains 200% of the recommended daily intake (RDI) of vitamin C.

C-Vitt has captured two-thirds of the vitamin C subsegment market share, according to Osotspa’s second-quarter (Q2) 2023 results. The company’s functional drinks portfolio showed a 13.3% quarter-over-quarter growth during Q2 2023, citing the recovery of C-Vitt after adjusting the post-COVID base to reflect the decline in the vitamin C market due to less immunity concerns.

However, functional drinks, which include C-Vitt, saw a 43.3% year-on-year decline in Q2 2023 and a 42.4% year-on-year fall during the first six months of 2023.

The company is expanding the usage occasions of C-Vitt by focusing on special menu creations through partnering with foodservice and promoting in-home usages, among others.

Osotspa has also refreshed the look of its CVitt Jelly Drink.

 

New PepsiCo Sunbites Protein chips offers 7g of protein

PepsiCo Thailand has launched Sunbites Protein chips featuring the following flavours: Salted Roasted Corn, Truffle Carbonara and Spicy Grilled Squid. These chips are baked, not fried and offer 7g of protein.

The snack food giant has also launched Sunbites Spicy Jim Jaew Sauce and Caesar Salad Dressing, both of which are snacks that are baked, not fried.

PepsiCo has earlier launched Simply Pea in the following flavours: Original and Nori Seaweed.

New Unif Salad to fulfill intake of colourful fruits and vegetables

Uni-President (Thailand) Ltd has a new drinkable salad drinks that are colour coded to imply health benefits. Unif Salad comprises Red Shine and Purple Care, both of which are high in phyto nutrients, vitamins and fibre.

Red Shine contains beetroot, apple, strawberry and tomato etc, while Purple Care has purple carrot, beetroot and other ingredients. Unif Salad is the solution for consumers who do not have the time to consume colourful fruits and vegetables in their diet.

New cream cheesecake- and Japanese-inspired yogurts by Dutch Mill

Thailand’s Dutch Mill has launched a new dessert-inspired Dutchie spoonable yogurt in the cream cheesecake flavour. This delectable yogurt is designed to appeal to consumers, especially females.

The company has also unveiled two Japanese-inspired, fat-free spoonable yogurt products: Kinako Mochi and Berry Sakura. Kinako is a roasted soybean flour commonly used in Japanese cuisine. Kinako Mochi has konjac pieces, while Berry Sakura has rambutan pieces and a sweet and sour taste profile.

Dua Kelinci taps into macaroni snacks

Indonesian snack maker PT Dua Kelinci has introduced a new range of crispy macaroni snacks, Roni Makaroni, in two flavours: Extra Spicy (level 15 in spiciness) and Roasted Corn.

Other leading packaged snack brands from Indonesia, including BonCabe and Acefood’s Mr Hottest, are also launching macaroni snacks to capitalise on the popularity of this snack format.
