Mama instant noodles debut NFTs

Saha Pathanapibul PCL, the distributor of Mama instant noodles, has partnered with Bitkub Capital Group Holdings Co., Ltd (Bitkub) to debut the 50th Anniversary Collection of NFT Cards at the 26th Saha Group Fair held on 30 June 2022 – 3 July 2022.

This NFT card will be used for collecting items in the 50th Anniversary Collection. Mama has piloted the debut card sets in 3 designs, namely, Chicken Khao Soi Flavour card, Dried Jade Noodles Roasted Duck Flavour card and Whole Wheat Noodles Black Pepper Pork Flavour card. Owners of the first batch of NFT cards will be entitled to a number of exclusive benefits from “Mama” in the future.

MALAYSIA 30 JUNE 2022 – Malaysia’s most talented young actors and actresses have been picked from a pool of over 400 talented applicants for the coveted roles of the six children to be part of the von Trapp family, in the forthcoming Broadway production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC at Istana Budaya from 27 December 2022.

Anthony C. Daniel, James Gray and Nate Patten from the Broadway creative team travelled to Dominus Arts Venue at Wangsa Maju in Kuala Lumpur on 28 and 29 June, and put the youngsters through a series of acting, singing and dancing auditions and successfully selected boys and girls, aged six to 14, who will perform in the upcoming Malaysia season this November.

The children come from all corners of Malaysia and performing in rotation throughout the Malaysia season as the small and cute Gretl, the brothers Friedrich and Kurt, as well as their sisters Marta, Brigitta, and Louisa are follows:

 

THE SOUND OF MUSIC tells the uplifting true story of Maria, the fun-loving governess who changes the lives of the widowed Captain von Trapp and his seven children by re-introducing them to music, culminating in the family’s flight across the Austrian mountains as tensions rise prior to the outbreak of World War II.

With its unforgettable score, THE SOUND OF MUSIC touches hearts of all ages and contains some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the musical theatre stage including My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, Edelweiss, The Lonely Goatherd, Sixteen Going on Seventeen, and of course the glorious title song The Sound of Music.  This iconic musical is sure to work its magic once again, for young and old alike.

Arguably one of the world’s best-loved musicals, the original 1959 Broadway production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and was Rodgers and Hammerstein’s biggest success. The 1965 movie starring Julie Andrews as Maria won five Oscars, including Best Picture, and remains one of the most popular movies of all time.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC International Tour is is directed by three-time Tony Award-winner and Broadway veteran Jack O’Brien, choreographed by Danny Mefford and has Music Supervision by Andy Einhorn. It also includes an all-Broadway creative, design, and production team, Matt Lenz, Original Tour Restaging; James Gray, Original Choreography Restaging; Douglas Schmidt, set design; Jane Greenwood, costume design; Natasha Katz, lighting design; and Shannon Slaton, sound design. Additional team members to be announced. Eric Cornell serves as General Manager and Simone Genatt and Marc Routh are Executive Producers for Broadway International Group. Healthy instant noodle maker Lemonilo rolls out konjac noodle in Indonesia

Healthy instant noodle maker Lemonilo has launched a new konjac (shirataki) noodle in Indonesia. Known as Konjaqu Mi Instan Konjak Rasa Mi Goreng or Konjaqu instant fried noodle for consumers who are consious about their calorie intake. The latest product is also free from preservatives and artificial colouring.

Lemonilo has recently partnered with Sederhana Rajafa, a restaurant in Indonesia serving Padang cuisine, to promote its Lemonilo Rendang flavoured noodle. Consumers had the option of replacing the rice with Lemonilo noodles or chose to have Lemonilo noodles as a side dish.

Khiang launches unique durian basil rice

Khiang, the street food brand of Thailand’s Zen Corporation Group Plc, has launched a very interesting dish featuring durian in conjunction with the durian season. The new durian basil rice is a combination of the king of fruit and the Thai spicy pork basil served with fragrant rice.

Not only is the new durian basil rice unique, it also represents a move by the brand to support local sourcing of raw ingredients to support Thai farmers. This special menu is available only during the durian season from 15 June 2022 to 15 August 2022.

Zen launched Khiang in 2019 to aim at middle- to low-income customers. The brand complements the existing portfolio, which focuses on the middle- to high-income segment.
