Indonesia has a new place reported to be the world’s first plant-based collaborative spaces and cloud kitchen. Mad Grass is located in South Jakarta’s Cipete.

Earthai (@earthai.id), Indonesia’s first vegan Thai eatery, has joined Mad Grass. Earthai serves 100% plant-based and earth-friendly Thai cuisine.

We are seeing Indonesia is accelerating its pace to be on the forefront of the plant-based trend. The participation of more local players including ingredient suppliers will be needed to turn this fad into a more lasting trend.

Protinex Soy UHT delivers high protein from non-GMO soy

Danone Protinex in Thailand is now available in RTD format. Protinex RTD comes in original (3% sugar) and unsweetened.

Protinex Soy UHT is a high protein liquid drink with 10g of protein from non-GMO soy. It has 2 times more protein than conventional soy milk and 8 times more calcium than ordinary soy milk. The vitamin D helps to strengthen the immune system.

Protinex Soy UHT is different from the Protinex in the powdered format. The former is a plant-based drink, while the latter contains cow’s milk.

KFC Indonesia brings back the good old days with nostalgia combo

KFC Indonesia is bringing consumers back to the good old days with a new limited nostalgia combo. This nostalgia combo is only available at KFC Classic Store Taman Melawai in South Jakarta.

The meal offers consumers a chance to experience the first KFC dish offered to Indonesian consumers when KFC first set up in Indonesia in 1979.⁠ The first KFC store is located in Jalan Melawai.

Wall’s Thailand has launched Cornetto Brown Sugar Bubble Cheese. This product looks very much like the Cornetto Boba Brown Sugar Cheese that was introduced in Indonesia in early 2021 featuring boba pearls, milk tea ice cream with brown sugar sauce topped with cheese topping.

UFC soup launched in the Philippines

NutriAsia has made available new UFC soup, which is instant soup in a pack. UFC soup comes in three variants – Cream of Mushroom, Crab and Corn Soup and Chicken and Corn. All the products contain either real mushroom bits, vegetables, meat or spices.

Excluding sinigang, instant soup mix is a small category in the Philippines with only a handful of players including Unilever (Knorr). With more in-home eating happening now, instant soup mix is set to become more popular as it can be eaten on its own or pair with other dishes as well.
