Nippon Indosari Corpindo, the maker of Sari Roti in Indonesia, has launched two new packaged bread products – Sari Roti Kasur Keju and Sari Roti Klasik Kasur Krim Messes. Messes are the tiny rectangular sweet chocolate pieces that are poured on the bread.

PT Megmilk Snow Brand Indonesia has recently launched the new MEG Slice Melt. The latest product is a slice cheese in 5 pieces or 10 pieces and has 80% cheese content.

MEG Slice Melt is a cheese product designed to pair with food and make its easy for consumers upgrade their meal into something extraordinary. This product is an example of an “add-on”, which is a food ingredient that can target home meal creation.

The Japanese dairy company has also made available MEG Processed Cream Cheese, which is a shelf stable cheese product.

Betagro launches ready-to-eats with Maggi and plant-based Meat Me meals

Thailand’s poultry company Betagro has teamed up with Maggi to launch street food ready-to-eat rice boxes. The Betagro Get & Go is available in four menu items including Braised Cocoa Pork with Rice, Braised Cocoa Pork, Fried Pork with Rice and Chicken Shiitake Mushroom with Rice. They are sold at Lotus’s. The amount of calorie is indicated clearly on pack. The prices range from THB 45 to THB 59.

The Betagro Get & Go also has two Japanese-inspired menu items – yakisoba and pork donburi.

Betagro is also riding the plant-based dietary trend with Plant-Based Meat Me and is available at selected Betagro Deli outlets.

Farm Fresh pasteurised banana flavoured milk is now in supermarkets in Malaysia. We first reported the launch of the Farm Fresh UHT Banana Milk in June 2021. The chilled version with a short shelf life is now avaialble at Giant. It is sold in the same 700ml pack size as Farm Fresh Kurma Milk.

The key ingredients are fresh milk, banana puree and brown sugar. For a serving size of 100ml, the milk offers 2.9g of protein and has total sugar of 6.9g.

We have seen several major launches of Korean-inspired banana flavoured milk in the Malaysian market including Nilofa Banana Milk, Goodday Banana Milk and Dutch Lady Banana Milk. Now is the turn of Farm Fresh to offer its very own banana flavoured fresh milk and in addition to shelf stable banana flavoured milk.
