Foremost milk in brown sugar and mayongchid flavours

Foremost, the brand of FrieslandCampina (Thailand), now comes with two new flavours – brown sugar and mayongchid. Mayongchid is an oval-shaped fruit, also know as Marian plum or plum mango. TasteofThailand.org describes the taste as having a hint of sour flavor on the surface right under the skin which gives way to a sweet fruit beneath.

The price is THB 15 per pack (200ml).

The use of local ingredient is a popular method to innovate in the UHT milk and yogurt categories.

Del Monte Mr Milk now with mango flavour

Del Monte in the Philippines is expanding its Mr. Milk affordable shelf stable yogurt milk drink with the addition of the mango flavour. The existing range has original, green apple and strawberry flavours. Mr Milk targets the mass market.

Lawson Philippines offers classic Filipino dishes in Premium Series

Lawson Philippines has unveiled its Premium ready-to-eat meal series as the convenience store chain upgrades its classic Filipino offerings. Going premium is the natural pathway to obtain more value from the existing product, while delivering higher quality to consumers in terms of taste.

The Premium Series comprises Pork Tapa, Pork Tocino, and Pork Sisig. The price per meal is PHP 95 and is available in all Lawson stores (in-store only).

Bayani offers latest Lemongrass Mango and part of proceeds will flow to those in need

Bayani Brew, a social enterprise brewing farm-fresh tisane drinks inspired by Filipino heritage, has added a new beverage. The latest flavour is Lemongrass Mango, which combines two popular ingredients in one bottle.

The new Bayani Brew Lemongrass Mango contains 100% vitamin C and is said to improve hair and skin health. For every purchase of a bottle, PHP 5 will be donated to Kusina ng Kalinga, Gawad Kalinga Feeding Program.

Dutch Mill has launched new Dutch Mill Plus containing probiotic LGG, which is supplied by Chr. Hansen. The LGG probiotic helps strengthen the immune system, which is important as the COVID-19 pandemic still rages on. The new Dutch Mill Plus chilled yogurt drink is also high in vitamin C.

Happy Munchy offers Korean Fishcake in packaged format

Happy Munchy has made available Korean Fishcake or Eo Muk (어묵) at 7-Eleven outlets in Thailand. Now consumers can enjoy Korean fishcake in the comfort of one’s home. The price per pack is THB 35. The Happy Munchy Korean Fishcake is made from fish and is free from preservatives.

We believe Korean fishcake in prepackaged format has potential in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries.

New Handy Herb combining cordyceps and black galingale

Thailand’s herbal medicine producer Sand-M has launched Handy Herb Cordyceps Extract Mixed with Black Galingale (Kaempferia Parviflora). This is the first time the company combines both ingredients in a bottle.

Each bottle has 2,000mg of cordyceps and 200mg of black galingale.

Sand-M has also introduced fingerroot extract in a sachet. Fingerroot has various health benefits. It has heen used for the treatment of treatment of degenerative bone diseases, antiflatulent and relief of gastric ulcer.

Sand-M Global Co Ltd reported a 64.13% growth in revenue for 2020 to THB 272 million with net income surging 60% to THB 47 million.

CP-Meiji teamed up with Au Bon Pain to promote Meiji Pro-C

CP-Meiji has collaborated with Au Bon Pain (Thailand) for a Double Happy Healthy Delivery. The food pairing initiative is aimed at promoting CP-Meiji’s latest Meiji Pro-C, a chilled ready-to-drink yogury in a concentrated shot (100ml) to boost the immune system.

Such partnership can help promote yogurt as a meal accompaniment in foodservice including for delivery.
