Aice introduces high vitamin C and low fat, less sugar Mango Slush

Ice cream maker Aice has launched two better-for-you ice cream products Mango Slush Low Fat Less Sugar and Mango Slush High Vitamin C in Indonesia. The two ice cream products are made using high quality Alphonso mangoes.

Aice is the official pre-packaged ice cream brand in Southeast Asia for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. As part of the sponsorship, Aice has recruited French professional footballer Kylian Mbappe and Argentinian professional footballer Lionel Andrés Messi to feature on Aice’s ice cream products.

Dalatte is the new UHT milk player in Vietnam

Dalatte Food Joint Stock Company has launched a new UHT milk range in Vietnam. The products comprise With Sugar containing 3.8% sugar content, Less Sugar with 2.8% sugar content and No Sugar. The company is based in Lam Dong, a province located in the Central Highlands region of Vietnam.

Dalatte plans to build factories in Da Lat, Binh Duong and Ha Nam in 2023 – 2025. The factory in Binh Duong will be put into operation in 2023. The company is also building a dairy farm in Lam Dong, which is expected to become operational in one year. Right now, the company is sourcing its milk from other farmers based on the ‘clean label’ standard.

Dalatte focuses on producing high-quality ‘clean label’ milk, which means Dalatte comes with a more premium pricing.

The recommended selling price of Dalatte milk is VND 276,000 for a box of 48 x 110ml or VND 432,000 for a box of 48 x 180ml. As a comparising Dalat Milk with a box of 48 x 180ml is selling at VND 365,000 on www.bachhoaxanh.com and Vinamilk Green Farm (48x180ml) is selling at VND 400,224 (discounted price VND 380,213) on its own website.

Anheuser-Busch Inbev has launched the Belgian wheat beer Hoegaarden in Indonesia through The Gaarden is Open event at Lucy In The Sky, Senayan Park in Jakarta. The new Hoegaarden Original (4.9% ABV) and Hoegaarden Rosee (3% ABV) are imported by PT Mitra Indo Maju. Hoegaarden Rosee is naturally sweet, with a pleasant fruity aroma and subtle hints of spices and coriander.

Experience The Magical Moments of Loy Krathong in Malaysia

Loy Krathong is the “Thai Festival of Lights” celebrated in Thailand annually. It involves the release of floating lanterns or “krathongs” in rivers, canals, lakes and beaches. The “krathongs” are decorated with candles and lovely flowers.  The floating of lanterns symbolises a way of getting rid of bad luck n negativity.  

It is also known as “Thai Valentine’s Day” as couples who float their lanterns together, will stay true to each other for life. 

This is one of the most popular festivals for Thais and travellers in Thailand due to its spiritual significance and romantic beauty. 

This festival is supported by DITP KL and Tourism Authority of Malaysia.  Several Thai events such Thai Costume Contest and Sum Tum Contest are scheduled on Nov 19 and 20 consecutively.

Better-for-you Ajinomoto Plus+ Yum Yum instant noodles contain vitamins

Ajinomoto Co., (Thailand) Ltd. has launched a better-for-you instant noodle in Thailand. Targeting children, Ajinomoto Plus+ Yum Yum is fortitifed with A, B1, B2, B6, B12 and C. The wholewheat noodles are fried using healthy rice bran oil. The instant noodle is certified as a Healthier Choice.

Essentially, Ajinomoto Plus+ Yum Yum offers a healthier choice for children who are a big addressable market for instant noodle. We have seen Indofood in Indonesia launching similar products in the past with My Noodlez. My Noodlez, which has since been discontinued, was specially formulated to appear healthier than ordinary instant noodle. The range consisted of Salmon Teriyaki, Seaweed (rumput laut) and Pizza Cheese. The noodles were made either from seaweed (noticed the green coloured noodle) or from carrot (wortel). Similar to Ajinomoto Plus+ Yum Yum, My Noodlez was fortified with vitamin A, B1, B6 and B12.

In Thailand, Ajinomoto Plus+ Yum Yum is available in Salmon Shoyu and Chicken Cheddar Cheese flavours.
