4Care launches MEDIRA Probiotic Plus Tablet with probiotics and prebiotics

Thailand’s 4Care Co., Ltd., has recently introduced MEDIRA Probiotic Plus Tablet, a chewable dietary supplement product in a tablet format. 4Care is the company behind the BALANCE cereal drink, rice drink and organic rice snack. MEDIRA Probiotic Plus Tablet was showcased at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022.

MEDIRA Probiotic Plus Tablet comes with an innovative ACTIVE BOOSTER containing probiotics (bacillus coagulans) and prebiotics (inulin) in one tablet. The bacillus coagulans are naturally encapsulated to protect them on their journey down the stomach.

New sugar-free energy drink EN-THEORIES offers clean energy with golden apple and yuzu flavours

EN-THEORIES, a new clean energy drink by IN D MOOD FOR HERB Co., Ltd., has made its debut at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022. The new sugar-free clean energy drink contains high quality green tea extracted in Germany.

EN-THEORIES does not have the classic energy drink taste. Rather, it offers a unique taste from sparkling natural fruit juice and the flavour of golden apple and yuzu, which is a trending flavour in Thailand right now.

Each can of EN-THEORIES energy drink is high in vitamin B complex, vitamin C, taurine, zinc and red Korean ginseng, a natural source of caffeine.

EN-THEORIES is set for a debut in the Thai retail market in August 2022.

 

Thai Ha showcases Hemp Double Shot and Kratom Double Shot at Thaifex 2022

Thailand’s Thai Ha PLC has showcased its latest Hemp Double Shot under the Doidham brand at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022 to tap into the hemp-based trend. Hemp Double Shot contains hemp that is said to help with relaxation. Hemp Double Shot Ginger and Lime contains ginger juice (36%), finger root juice (32%), lemon (12%), Thai sweet fermented rice (14%), hemp (3%) and lime juice (3%).

In addition to Hemp Double Shot, the company has also unveiled Kratom Double Shot targeting consumers who want to have an energy boost. Kratom Double Shot Lime Flavour contains kratom leaves (92.58%), sugar (6.6%) and citric acid (0.83%).

The Thai government decriminalized the possession and sale of kratom in 2021, thus paving the way for the plant to be cultivated legally.

MooMilk milk candy tablet maker goes probiotics

Sunfood Corp Co., Ltd, the maker of MooMilk Milk Candy Tablet in Thailand, has unveiled Buddy Pop Probiotics Candy Yogurt/Lemon Flavour at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022. Compared to the existing MooMilk Milk Candy Tablet with calcium and vitamin A, the new Buddy Pop Probiotics Candy has gut-friendly probiotics imported from the US.

According to the back-of-pack ingredient description, this probiotics candy contains Bacillus coagulans (UABc-20), which is the probiotic strains powered by Chr. Hansen.

Buddy Pop Probiotics Candy Yogurt Flavour contains full cream milk powder (11.43%), frutooligosaccharides (17.14%), sorbitol (57.3%), aspartame (0.2%) and sucralose (0.04%).

The ingredients in the dairy-free Buddy Pop Probiotics Candy Lemon Flavour are sorbitol (76%), xylitol (14.2%), Bacillus coagulans (1%), aspartame (0.2%) and sucralose (0.06%).

Betagro taps into food and protein segments sharply focused on Food Service Solutions Highlighting future food innovations to create sustainable food security

Wednesday 25 May 2022 – Betagro continues to strengthen its position as a food service solutions provider and is proactively strengthening the food and protein segments throughout its supply chain. The company’s Smart Quality concept will be the key to enhancing the efficiency of biosafety systems under the BQM standard, together with developing future food innovations, expanding distribution channels, improving logistics, and implementing a Smart CRM strategy to provide consulting services to elevate the industry and drive sustainable food security.

Mr. Trirat Thongplod, Chief Operating Officer – Protein Business, Betagro Public Co., Ltd., said that the company will build on their successful market expansion and consistent growth in the food and protein segments by focusing on enhancements in biosecurity systems for swine, poultry, egg and fish production, improvements in product quality under the Betagro Quality Management (BQM) standard, and the development of Betagro’s e-Traceability using a QR code on the product label, so that consumers can trace a product’s source throughout the supply chain. This will improve people’s trust in Betagro’s high food safety standards and premium quality product offerings.

This year, the company plans to expand its access to the pork market by increasing production capacity of pork products in the food and protein business. The number of pig farms will increase, boosting the proportion of premium S-Pure branded 100% free range pork products, with no antibiotics, no red meat accelerators, and no growth promoters. Betagro will also increase pig breeding farms (great grandparent and grandparent farms) and parent stock breeding to support the swine production process. This is in line with the company’s plan to build new farms and a new slaughterhouse to expand production capacity to approximately 4.8 million pigs per year by 2026.

“The company has developed future food innovations, including new plant-based alternative protein, in line with healthy product trends and to meet consumers interest on being healthy and are increasingly choosing alternative products.” Mr. Trirat said.

Boon Tree Food unveils new Bon Tre RTD coffee with Yuzu Honey, Vanilla

Thailand’s Boon Tree Food, which makes a variety of ready to eat delicacies including canned soup and RTD coffee, has introduced two new RTD canned coffee at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022. The new Bon Tre RTD coffee comprises Black Summer Yuzu Honey Black Coffee and Roasted Toffee Vanilla Coffee. Both RTD coffee drinks come with the Healtheir Choice logo.

Black Sumer Yuzu Honey Black Coffee reflects the popularity of yuzu flavour in Thailand. The new RTD coffee contains natural honey and has added sugar. The key ingredients are instant coffee (1.8%), yuzu juice (0.5%), acesulfame potassium and sucralose.

Roasted Toffee Vanilla Coffee is described as having a smooth and mellow taste. The key ingredients are milk powder (5%), sugar (2.5%), instant coffee (1.2%) and acesulfame potassium.

According to Boon Tree Food, the two new RTD coffee will be launched in Thailand in June 2022.

The company currently sells a range of RTD coffee – Espresso, Latte and Black Coffee.

BB Pharma unveils alcoholic energy drink L-NERGY at Thaifex

BB Pharma Co., Ltd., the company known for its Pharyanak herbal energy drink, has unveiled L-Nergy at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022. L-NERGY (175ml) is an alcoholic energy drink with a 7% ABV. The drink contains fruit wine, pineapple concentrate, guarana, water, sugar and food acids. The expected price per bottle is around THB 25.

V Farm puts vegetable/plant as the hero ingredient in new Wholefood range

Known as Wholefood, the new V Farm Wholefood stands in stark contrast to the highly processed plant-based products in the market. Mantra showcases latest plant-based fish products

Thai plant-based player Mantra has launched its latest plant-based fish products at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022. The brand currently has a range of plant-based shrimp balls, plant-based minced shrimp and plant-based spicy minced shrimp cake.

Mantra plant-based fish consists of three products namely plant-based fish fillet, plant-based fish balls and plant-based minced fish. All the products are ready to cook and are 100% natural without any cholesterol.

At THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022, Mantra has showcased how consumers can use the latest  plant-based fish product to create various dishes including spicy tom yum soup with plant-based fish balls and paella with plant-based fish fillet.

The vegan-friendly Mantra plant-based fish products are free from MSG and fat. The key ingredients are soy protein (59%), pea protein (20.5%), water (12%), rice bran oil (3.4%) and sugar (1%).

Crossmax Retail set to launch Yogen cultured milk with vitamin D

Thailand’s Crossmax Retail, which is known for its Hooray! protein shake, has showcased its latest Yogen chilled cultured milk with vitamin D at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2022. The new lychee-flavoured Yogen with vitamin D (100% RDI) is set to debut in the coming months in Thailand.

The latest product is an addition to the existing Yogen range fortified with fibre (3,000mg). Yogen culture milk differentiates from its competitors by having over 50,000 million live and active good bacteria. The fat-free cultured milk sells in a 210ml plastic bottle.

Yogen with vitamin D rides the current consumer interest in vitamin D to improve the body’s immunity.

Apart from the upcoming Yogen with vitamin D, Crossmax Retail has also recently introduced its own plant-based oat milk under the Oatte’ label to tap into the oat milk trend. This soy-free, dairy-free Oatte’ oat milk comes in original and chocolate flavour. Oatte’ is available at Tops Supermarket and Familymart for a retail price of THB 38 per bottle.

In addition to oat milk, Crossmax has made available Hooray! Protein Spread Almond Crunchy, which is a vegan-friendy, 100% plant-based spread with pea protein. Also available in the range is Hooray!
